You know that moment when you look at your child and start crying because you realize just how much they have grown up? Yeah, that happened to me last Wednesday when Riley boarded the school bus for her first day of preschool. My baby girl is growing up way too fast for my liking!
How cute is she?! Despite being a bit sad over her taking this big step, I am really excited for her. A week later, she still loves school. I did, too, when I was in school, and I hope she continues loving it. I love having her come home over day to tell me what all she learned that day. This past weeend I wanted to do a bit of bonding time since we don’t get as much during the week. We decided to have a pizza and frozen snacks party. So we headed to our local Walmart to pick the items up. Going to Walmart is kind of a bonding experience in itself because she loves going down the toy aisles together (and doesn’t even cry because she can’t buy something!).
We noticed Tombstone’s pizza is very affordable at Walmart, and they had some flavors I had not noticed before – like a Garlic Bread Pizza – say WHAT?! Yeah, definitely had to get that one, along with a couple others.
I had been craving something peachy, and noticed that Edy’s Outshine fruit bars had a peach one, so we grabbed those. Riley picked out grape.
As soon as we pulled into the drive way, Riley was asking when we got to have pizza. I love how excited she was for this special “party” in her honor. 🙂
The wait was almost unbearable for her… every 5 minutes (or more) she kept asking “Is it done? Is it done?” Luckily they only take about 20 minutes to make, so they were done before her questions drove me crazy. 😉

My dad was kind of jealous of all the pictures I was taking of Riley… so I made him happy by taking a photo of him. I made him happy. 😉
After pizza, came the yummy Edy’s Outshine bars! Of course Riley decided she would rather have the peach instead of the grape that she picked out. I don’t blame her, at all, though – the peach was scrumptious! After eating our Tombstone pizz and Outshine bars, we cuddled on the couch with Daddy and watched Riley’s favorite movie – Despicable Me. It was a perfect night. 🙂
Riley definitely makes life good. She keeps me on my toes, makes me laugh constantly, and makes me so glad that I became a mother. Yeah, it can be hard at times. But look at her beautiful face makes it all worth it.
What/Who makes your life good?
I’m a 20-something stay-at-home mother and wife. I have an amazing husband, a beautiful daughter, two loving dogs, and a lazy cat. I wouldn’t change my life for anything! I love to read, listen to music, cook and blog!
My kids make my life perfect. I can’t imagine life without them!

Your daughter is adorable and my little girl would L-O-V-E her Doc McStuffins shirt. My son would totally be jealous of the pizza lol 🙂 I can so relate – my kids may drive me nuts, but they are the best things to ever happen to me!
