Optimistic Mommy Craft Room Makeover - PlanningI have some very exciting news to share with you today! I am partnering with Stamp-n-Storage for a craft room makeover! I will be transforming an extra bedroom in our home into a craft room of my very own! Today I will be sharing my plans for this room with you, as well as a couple before photos – and a fun contest for all of you!

Craft Room Makeover - Before

When we moved in about 2 years ago we just made this extra bedroom a storage room. We’ve just kind of thrown things that didn’t have a place or that we wanted to deal with later in here. Well, needless to say – I’m ready to stop being so unorganized with my crafts, and I want the spare bedroom to not be such an eyesore. Granted, we usually just keep the door closed but every time I go in there I get a little upset because we haven’t done anything with it yet.

That’s all changing now, though! I am partnering with the great folks over at Stamp-n-Storage to create the craft room of my dreams! Combined with their great craft organization products and products I am purchasing myself, I am super excited to share my reveal with you. Of course I’m not just ready for that yet. I have to do a bit of planning first – and that’s where my lovely husband comes in.

Optimistic Mommy Craft Room - Planning

My husband, Miles, came up with a simple floor plan for me with the main furniture I will be purchasing or that I already have. The furniture includes:

And I am super excited to receive and show off the products that Stamp-n-Storage is sending me! They should be arriving this week – make sure to watch my social media for some previews of them! Here are the items I will be receiving:

  • Paper Holders – Great for my scrapbook paper and vinyl. I love that these fit into the IKEA Kallax system!
  • Stacked Marker Holder – Fits into the Kallax system as well!
  • Six Drawer Storage – Will be great for buttons, paint, Silhouette accessories, etc.
  • Ribbon Shelf – I inherited a lot of ribbon from my mom who passed away almost 2 years ago and I’m excited to have a place dedicated to my ribbon stash.
  • Washi Tape Holder – I’ve accumulated a good stash of washi tape as well.

Stamp-n-Storage & Optimistic Mommy Contest

To go along with this makeover, I have an exclusive contest available for just the readers of Optimistic Mommy! Three lucky winners will win a $75 Stamp-n-Storage store credit! 1. Sounds like a great plan – I need to do that with my office space! The cluttered mess is driving me crazy!

  2. This looks like it is going to be fun and turn out great! I had never heard of stamp and storage but I am going to follow and check out the progress. I found you over on the Coffee & Conversation linky party. Thanks for sharing your plans! I’m excited to see how it turns out!

  3. I long to have a wonderful craft room where I could keep all of my things and have a special space for my work. Thanks so much for sharing at the Thursday Favorite Things Blog Hop!

  4. I like your hand-drawn blueprint for the craft room. You must have measured everything with a tape measure or one of those laser tape measures. My dad who was a carpenter and handy DIY person said to measure twice or even three times, and cut once.

  5. This is wonderful, and I didn’t know they had so many ways to store products for crafts ,, how awesome!
