I’m talking about a couple of my favorite things today – family friendly movies, TV, and snacks to enjoy with the family! Since Summer vacation is here (the first one for my daughter since she had her first year of school) we’re enjoying lots of fun things together. From the festival at our church this week, to just enjoying time outside we’ve got lots of family activities planned in the next couple of months. We love to take breaks from the hot outdoors to enjoy a family friendly movie at our local theater or just spend time at home watching TV together.

We recently saw Inside Out, a great family friendly movies, and we absolutely loved it! We are talking about going and seeing it again soon, we loved it that much. Tonight we’ll be sitting down to watch Teen Beach 2 on Disney Channel – it may have ‘Teen’ in the title, but I know there will be fun music in it and Riley and I always have dance parties so I know she’ll enjoy it. Another movie we can’t wait to see is Max (in theaters today). Every time the commercial comes on TV Riley gets excited. Do you have any recommendations for TV or movies that are family friendly we can watch? We can always use suggestions!

Nutella Cool Whip Dip

Family Friendly Nom Noms for Family Friendly Shows

One thing you can’t forget when watching TV or movies is a delicious snack! When we’re at the theater we always get popcorn with plenty of butter. At home we sometimes have popcorn, but we love to make delicious goodies as well. A great one I recommend trying is this Nutella Cool Whip Dip. It combines the deliciousness of Nutella and the creaminess of Cool Whip for a great treat your family is sure to enjoy while you watch your favorite family friendly programs!

I wonder if you could make this with real whipping cream? I imagine if you got the cream ver stiff in a mixer then folded the nutella in.

We love watching movies too! We’ve been wanting to take our littles to see Inside Out too! 😀 I love the idea of putting Nutella and Cool Whip together!! One of my kiddos has a peanut allergy and she refuses to eat cashew, almond, & soy butter because it all looks like peanut butter and she’s afraid it will hurt her too. I think I could get her to try the Nutella and Cool Whip snack! Thanks for the idea… definitely worth a try!

  10. Who doesn’t love cool whip? and Nutella? The two together are a win. What a great way to increase your fruit consumption. I will definitely try it. Great idea.

  11. We always have Cool Whip and Nutella on hand. Never thought of combining them together. This recipe looks so good and easy to make. We have used Nutella on pretzels before and put them in the freezer for a while and so good to snack on.

  12. I am always happy to find a new fruit dip. I usually buy pre-made dip at the store. Those are a bit expensive.

  13. This looks delicious. Thank you for the information.

  14. Charlie M says

    I’d give this a try

  15. Karen Beckett says

Oh, my…this could be my new addiction! So quick & easy to make too!

  16. I love the big, soft pretzels. This would taste pretty good on one of those.

  18. vickie couturier says

i have never used Nutella but this look so good

  19. There is some kind of cream cheese dip that I buy. It tastes good on fruit and vegetables. Normally I won’t eat vegetables, but the dip is that good.

  20. I wonder if a dash of cinnamon would work in this recipe. I may try it in a small portion, so that if it doesn’t, I won’t have to throw the batch out.

  21. Brandi Dawn says

I am not a big fan of Hazlenut but THIS looks delish!

  22. This would taste good on raspberries. The problem with them is they tend to fall apart. You’d pretty much have to stir them into the dip.

  23. It couldn’t get any easier, as far as recipes go. And it tastes great!

  24. The best part about this recipe, besides the flavor, is that it’s foolproof.

  25. There are so many good fruit and vegetable dips out there. I like plain old peanut butter on celery, carrots and green pepper slices.

  26. Lynda Del says

What a great recipe for a dip! Thanks for sharing.

  27. I like watching the shows on INSP because I don’t have to worry about what might pop up on the screen or come out of the speakers. Todays TV shows are horrid and that is half the problem with kids behaviors today. It’s kind of like monkey see monkey do. So the older shows that teach good family values such as The Walton’s and The Little House on the Prairie are some of our favorites. The dip sounds yummy. It’s a must try with fresh fruit. Thanks for sharing it.

  28. It looks delicious!

  29. Stacey A Smith says

looks good to me.got to try it.
