Supplies:

  • Rake Head
  • Assorted Faux Fall Leaves
  • Small Pine Cones
  • Ribbon
  • Hot Glue, Glue Gun

Fall Rake Wreath Tutorial | Optimistic MommyWe found our rake at a local thrift store for a few dollars. We simply used a screwdriver to remove it from the rake handle. Leaves, pine cones, and even the hot glue can be easily found at your local craft or even dollar store.

Directions:

  1. Begin by removing the head of the rake as mentioned. There is typically a screw that when loosened the head will come off.Fall Rake Wreath Tutorial | Optimistic Mommy
  2. Apply some glue to the rake and press the faux fall leaves directly to the glue. Press in place until the leaves are secure. Continue to layer the leaves so they look naturally, as though they got caught up in the rake.Fall Rake Wreath Tutorial | Optimistic Mommy
  3. Add some small pinecones directly on top of the leaves. Add a generous amount of hot glue to the bottom of the pinecones and press them to the leaves. Hold in place until dry and secure.
  4. It is now time to attach the ribbon for hanging. We used a thick, wire edge ribbon that we knew would be sturdy. Fold the ribbon in half and apply a generous amount of glue to the ends. Press the ribbon to the back of the rake and hold into place until secure.

Your rake wreath is now ready to be displayed! Hang it on a wreath hook, your front door, or even on your wall. It adds the perfect pop of call color and charm!

Gather your supplies and give this fall rake wreath a try!
