Hoverboard Safety For Kids: Don’t Ride One Without These Gears

Sharing is caring!

Hoverboards are so much fun, and it’s an excuse for the kids to get outside for some fresh air and sunlight. So if you’re one of the parents that gave in and got their kids a hoverboard, then you should get them the perfect gear to keep them safe and protected as they use it. Safety should be the number one priority, so make sure they’re strapped in with some amazing riding gear.

Headgear

Before you start soaring through with your new hoverboard, you need to wear a decent helmet to protect your noggin in the off chance that you fall. This is one of the most important hoverboard safety gear for kids because the head is one of the most sensitive parts of our body, so you need a strong, sturdy, and comfortable helmet in case anything happens. They come in a variety of colors and they are designed to be impact resistant; they’re made out of 4-layer technology to keep it comfortable and provide ultimate head protection.

Elbow and Knee Pads

These are highly important too, because most of the time when you fall, you tend to scrape your knees and elbows. That can cause a lot of pain for your kids because of the sudden friction and impact on the hard concrete ground, so spare yourselves the pain and have them wear these protective pads that have a foam fitting and a pink gel insert in each one to provide the maximum absorption levels. They come with adjustable straps and they’re very comfortable to wear.

Gloves

It wouldn’t hurt to have them wear a nice pair of gloves to reduce any impact injuries, most gloves for hovering purposes are well-padded and sturdy enough to protect their palms if they fall. Also, they have high-impact skin guards for maximum safety; with all the protective features these gloves have, one might think that they aren’t comfortable at all. But that’s not the case here; a nice pair is made with breathable fabrics and designed with moisture-wicking features.

Mouthguards

Another important piece for protection is something to protect the teeth and tongue, you never know what you could fall on headfirst and sometimes you might accidentally bite your tongue a split second before the impact. So you need to avoid any broken teeth and tongue injuries, if you get one of these mouthguards for your kids, then they have a better chance of cushioning their mouths when they get hurt or fall. Most of the time these mouth protectors need to be custom-made, so they can know the dimensions of your jaw and teeth. You wouldn’t want to buy something that doesn’t fit, so play it safe and wait for the perfect one to be ready.

With all the safety measures taken, remember to supervise over your children and make sure they come to no harm. It’s all fun and games until someone falls, so it’s best to fall with all the protective gear they can wear. It won’t be so bad and they would still keep laughing and try again, so remember to let them enjoy but stay safe still.
