There’s nothing better than some yummy chocolates, am I right? I had the honor to meet with one of the chocolatiers of Kohler Original Recipe Chocolates while in New York City for the Fancy Food Show. And let me tell you – their chocolate is amazing!
I’m sure you’re thinking – wait, isn’t Kohler the company that makes bathroom fixtures? You would be correct! They also make delicious chocolates, as well! The CEO and Chairman of Kohler Co., Herb Kohler, wanted the world to have a better turtle. So after the chefs of The American Club produced over 100 batches, he finally found a terrapin (nuts, chocolate, and caramel) that he absolutely loved. So in 2007, Kohler Original Recipe Chocolates was born!
Kohler creates not just terrapins, but chocolate bars, garden ganache, rare facets, brownies, emeralds, platinum, terrapin trail mix, toffee bark, dark mountain toffee, and botanical truffles. Whether you love dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate, caramel, toffee, nuts, or are gluten free – Kohler is sure to have a delicious sweet goodie that you will love. Just last week Kohler sent their yummy Holiday Caramels gift set. I love chocolate AND caramel, this was a box of heaven for me – well, and my husband and daughter since they were lucky I shared with them. 😉
Kohler’s Holiday Caramels will be on sale starting October 22nd through the holiday season, and will be available in a four-piece for $9.99, nine-piece for $18.99, and a 32-piece for $59.99 variety packages, or you can get a nine-piece package of each individual flavor. The Red chocolates are the Ginger Snap Caramels, which is a dark chocolate shell that is filled with notes of molasses, which resembles a gingerbread cookie. For the Green ones, you get an almond flavor since they are Almond Green Caramels. 
The Silver ones are Kohler’s Sea Salt Caramel, which “is a dark smoky caramel infused with the light taste of sea salt.” The Gold ones are Kohler’s traditional Golden Caramel with just a hint of brown sugar. The Golden Caramels were definitely my favorite ones.
