My Weight Loss Journey Is Beginning! #NSNation #spon

If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter (which I hope you do!), you may have seen me tweet last week that I have been accepted into Nutrisystem’s Blogger Nation program! I am so thankful that I get to take part in this program so that I can get down to a healthier weight. I will be receiving four month’s on the Women’s SUCCESS Program in exchange for me blogging, tweeting, and Facebooking about my journey!

As of right now, I’m considered obese. I don’t want to say exactly how much I weigh, because I don’t want to make this all about numbers, although I will be telling you each week how much I lose. My goal weight is 140 pounds, though. For my height and age, that is considered a healthy weight. I used to weigh 130 pounds. That was back when I played softball and basketball. Then in 2007 I got injured and ended up with a chronic pain condition, Reflexive Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD). I was unable to play sports any longer because of the pain I was in. It was a dark time for me. I loved playing sports because it was a great stress reliever and kept me in shape. I played softball year round and basketball in the winter, and I went from being active like that to do nothing. I was on crutches for almost a year, so it was pretty hard to be active. Luckily my RSD has been pretty good since I got pregnant in 2010. But then I gained weight from being pregnant, like most women do. I was lucky that I didn’t gain more than I did, though.

I want to get down to a healthier weight, and stay there, so I can be a good influence for my daughter. I want to feel better about myself like I did when I was actively playing sports.

Right now I’m just waiting for my Nutrisystem food to arrive! Actually my frozen portion of my order just arrived – now I have to find room in the freezer for all of it. 🙂 I have to say, though – it all looks so good! I will share photos of all my Nutrisystem food next week when I do an update for all of you! It will include the frozen and shelf stable food I am receiving!

I can’t wait to share my entire experience will all of you. If you’re on your own weight loss journey, I would love to hear about it!
