Romantic and Inexpensive Gift Ideas

Are you looking for a way to please your significant other and show your true feelings without having to spend a fortune?  Romantic gift giving can be an expensive endeavor.  Check out this list of romantic and inexpensive gift ideas to help jumpstart your next shopping spree for your better half!

Staycation

You don’t have to spend much money at all to enjoy a staycation in your town.  Stay at home rather than in a hotel room, and spend a couple of days off just exploring the sights of the place where the two of you live.  Tour free museums or vineyards, cook dinner for each other at home, and just spend time being together and checking out things you might not have explored on your own.

Scented Candles

Scented candles make an awesome gift idea they are a simple but very romantic gift that can brighten up your lover’s day literally and figuratively!  Choose a candle in a romantic scent such as chocolate, strawberry, or even a tropical aroma.  Or, opt for giving a candle that smells like your partner’s favorite food or flower.  If you want to make the candles part of a larger surprise, use them to light the bathroom when you prepare a warm bubble bath for your beloved, or to light the kitchen table when you have dinner together.

Homemade Food

Nothing says “I love you” quite like the gift of homemade goodies!  Even if you aren’t a whiz in the kitchen, you can easily whip up a batch of fudge or a plate of homemade cookies to give to your darling.  Or, if baking isn’t quite your thing, why not have a go at preparing a nice dinner at home for the two of you?  Make something simple like burgers or taco night, and you will easily impress your lover without having to learn to cook any complicated dishes.  You can also take your gift of meal preparation a step further and put together a picnic for the two of you to take on the spur of the moment.

A Flower

Although it may seem tempting to just pluck the first flower you see on your way to your sweetie’s house, this is not what this recommendation means.  Instead, choose a single flower that has some significant meaning to your and your beloved.  Perhaps your partner loves yellow tulips or a particular type of orchid?  Or, perhaps you shared your first kiss next to a white rose bush?  There is sure to be something in the history of your relationship that can spark the perfect decision when purchasing a single flower.
