(b) Yogurt and Papaya- Papaya is very good both for the health and the skin. To make the pack mix mashed papaya with yogurt and apply all over the skin, face, hands, and neck. Keep it for 20 minutes and rinse it with cold water. Along with curing dryness, it will also work wonders in removing dark spots and suntan.

It will help a great deal in maintaining the skin’s moisture level thereby preventing dryness. Mash the banana and apply it on the skin, allow it to dry, and then rinse with cold water. (d) Rose Water- Rub some rose water on your face with a cotton ball and leave it on the skin. It will work as an excellent toner, remove the impurities and moisturize the skin giving it a perfect glow.

Oily Skin- If your T-zone is sweaty and sticky, you have an oily scalp, frequent pimples and large visible pores then you have oily skin. Using moisturizers and not washing the face can result in open pores which can deteriorate your skin condition largely. Oily skin is a problem as this can cause pimples, acne and other skin problems. Pimples are stubborn; it invades the oily skin thereby wreaking havoc. It is the oily skin that attracts germs and impurities and enters the skin. If you have oily skin, you are likely to have open pores via which the microbes can penetrate the skin.   1. Lukewarm Water- This is excellent for the skin and will help a great deal to clean the pores. It is the pores on your skin that contains dirt and oil which you can quickly wash with warm water.
  2. Raw Honey- Honey works wonders to exfoliate the skin and remove the unwanted dead cells and germs from the skin. It can also help in removing surplus oil from the skin via closing the pores. Take one tablespoon honey and one teaspoon lime juice and mix the two. Along with removing the oil, it will also help to remove sun tan.
  3. Chickpea Powder- This is good for oily skin. It will help to soak the oil from the skin making it look fresh. Mix chickpea powder with milk and apply it on the skin. Leave this for 20 minutes and wash off with cold water.

Combination Skin- Combination skin means the face will be dry other than the T-zone, have acne and blackheads in the T-zone. Improper hygiene, junk food, and improper diet can deteriorate the skin further. Below are some skin care tips for combination skin during the rainy season,

  1. Salt and Lime Juice- Slice a lemon into two parts and rub salt on one. Rub this on the skin gently particularly on the T-Zone area. It is the salt granules that will nicely clean the face and remove the impurities while the lemon juice can help in removing excess oil. Rub this gently and wash off using cold water. Avoid stepping under the sun post applying this.
  2. Toner- Toner is a must for combination skin. Either use rose water or prepare a toner at home. Fill a glass with water, add rose petals, cucumber slices and glycerine in water and leave it overnight. You can also refrigerate the same for a cooling, refreshing toner. Apply it with some cotton wool and rub gently on the face.
  3. White Flour and Split Green Gram– This mixture will work wonders for combination skin. Mix the two with milk and make a smooth, thick paste. You can also add some honey. Apply this on the face and leave for 30 minutes, and then wash with cold water. It will give you a glowing and fresh look.
