Tiramisu Cake Recipe- For Baking Like a Pro!

Ingredients for cake:

  • 18 ounce of packaged white cake mix
  • ¼ cup of coffee
  • 1 tbsp of coffee flavoured liqueur

Ingredients for filling:

  • 8 ounce of mascarpone cheese
  • 2 tbsp of coffee flavoured liqueur
  • ½ cup of confectioner’s sugar

Ingredients for frosting:

  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp of coffee flavoured liqueur
  • ¼ cup of confectioner’s sugar

Ingredients for garnishing:

  • 1 ounce of square semisweet chocolate
  • 2 tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder

Directions:

For baking the cake

  1. Preheat the oven first at 175 degree C or 350 degrees F.
  2. Take three 9 inches pans and grease and flour them well.
  3. Take the white cake mix and prepare it according to the instructions given in the package.
  4. Once the mix is ready, divide it in two thirds between two pans.
  5. Take instant coffee, mix it with the remaining batter and pour it in the third pan.
  6. Now bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes approximately.
  7. Take a toothpick, insert it in the cake and check whether it comes out clean or not. If not, let it bake for some more time until it has been baked properly.
  8. Allow the pan to cool down for 10 minutes.
  9. Once it has cooled down, take a wire rack and turn out the cake on it. Allow it to cool down further.
  10. Take a cup and mix the brewed coffee and the coffee liqueur. Allow it to set aside.

For making the filling

  1. Take a bowl, add in mascarpone cheese bought using the food coupons, confectioner’s sugar and coffee liqueur and beat it well with a mixer.
  2. Once the mixture is smooth, wrap it well with a plastic and let it refrigerate.

For preparing the frosting

  1. Take a medium bowl; beat well the heavy cream, confectioner’s sugar and the coffee liqueur till it becomes firm.
  2. Take ½ cup of this cream mixture into the filling mixture.

How to assemble the cake?

  1. Take one layer of the plain cake and place it on the serving plate.
  2. Take a thin skewer and poke holes about one inch apart.
  3. Take the 1/3rd of the coffee mixture and pour it over evenly on the cake.
  4. Pour the half of the filling mixture and spread it evenly.
  5. Take the other coffee flavoured layer cake and similarly poke holes in it.
  6. Follow the same procedure by pouring another 1/3rd of the coffee mixture on the second layer.
  7. Spread it with the remaining filling evenly.
  8. Place the third cake layer on the top and poke holes in it too.
  9. Now pour the remaining coffee mixture and spread it evenly.
  10. Take the frosting and apply it to the sides of the cake and also on the top of it.
  11. Take a sieve and dust out the cocoa powder on the top of cake evenly.
  12. Take the chocolate curls and garnish it well.
  13. At the end, allow the Tiramisu cake to set for at least forty five minutes in the refrigerator before it is served.
