Arizona Peace Trail
Located in Mohave, La Pax, and Yuma Counties in Arizona, the Arizona Peace Trail offers approximately 750 miles of dirt trails. The Peace Trail Committee was formed in 2014 to create a trail loop from existing trails and dirt roads. Typically, the trail remains open from mid-March through December, but that is not guaranteed. The one thing users can count on is a challenging ride.
Hatfield-McCoy Trails
Most people have heard of the Hatfields and McCoys, as the feud between these two families has become legendary. However, they may not be as familiar with the Hatfield-McCoy Trails found in Williamson, West Virginia. On the other hand, ATV riders know of this trail and enjoy riding through the forest, over hills, through mud, and fording water crossings on their machines. UTV, dirt bike, and motorcycle rides also enjoy the 750-plus miles of trails. Exploring the trails is an outstanding way to see the Appalachian Mountains differently. Riders choose from eight central trail systems, each offering a different experience. Those responsible for the trails aren’t done yet, either. They continue to expand on the offerings, so those who have ridden this trail before may want to make another trip to see what has changed.
Little O Trail
Head to Huron-Manistee National Foret in Lake County, Michigan, and enjoy the 41 miles of trails that make up Little O Trail. ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, and motorcycles make their way through the woods, over hills and sand, to get a feel for riding their machines. This trail is designed for beginners, but it features berms and tight turns so riders can gain experience. Bridge crossings allow riders to see the landscape in a unique way. Experienced riders will also enjoy this trail for the beauty of the surroundings, and it connects with other nearby trails when they want more of a challenge.
Mill Creek Trails
Elkins, Arkansas, is home to the Mill Creek Trails in Ozark National Forest. These trails are ideal for riders of every skill level and include hills, water crossings, and rocks. People can explore the 49.5 miles of trails on ATVs, UTVs, motorcycles, and dirt bikes. The trails consist of three interconnecting loops where riders can see remote parts of the forest. The inside loops allow riders to step whenever they want, but many people want to continue as long as possible thanks to the gorgeous views, scenic waterfalls, and unique rock formations.
Ocala National Forest Trail System
Ocala, Florida, is home to 189 miles of trails that cover woods, sand, and hills. Before tackling more challenging terrain, beginners often head to the forest to explore the area on ATVs, UTVs, 4x4s, and motorcycles. They can choose from three main riding areas that don’t connect. Every journey is different, but these trails aren’t made for speed. Riders should focus on learning more about their machines while enjoying the views and conserving wildlife and the land. Paiute ATV Trail System
Anyone visiting Fillmore, Utah, may wish to bring their ATV or UTV. The Paiute ATV Trail System features 275 miles of trails suitable for ATVs, UTVs, 4x4s, motorcycles, and dirt bikes. Beginner and intermediate riders will encounter rocks, hills, and water crossings while traveling around the expansive loop that makes up the trails. They go through different towns and see breathtaking vistas on their journeys. While the main trail covers 275 miles, there are marked side trails and side forest roads a person can explore. Riders often plan multiple visits so they can see as much as possible.
Bighorn National Forest
Venture out to Burgess Junction, Wyoming, and explore the approximately 1,200 miles of trails found in Bighorn National Forest. Dirt bikes, motorcycles, 4x4s, ATVs, and UTVs are welcomed, and riders of all skill levels will enjoy their journey through this beautiful wilderness. The views are breathtaking, and the available space ensures riders never feel crowded, even on busy days. Bring a group of friends for an exciting trip. However, prepare everyone for possible wildlife encounters, as they have been known to happen.
Poison Spider Mesa
The name may deter many people, but it shouldn’t. Poison Spider Mesa in Moab, Utah, is ideal for advanced riders who want to take on sand and rocks while trail riding. ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, 4x4s, and motorcycles can cover these 13.5 miles of trails and take on a challenge unlike any other. Riders must watch out for off-road obstacles while taking in the gorgeous scenery, as no one wants their ride derailed by an accident.
