During the COVID-19 crisis, we have all met challenges and changes that require a lot more energy than we first thought. It has been difficult to find peace of mind in these grueling times, and for most of us, has been super stressful and tense.

It has been very difficult to show ourselves love and give ourselves the time to heal from the stresses of day to day life. This might be as simple as not being able to relax, as you see your home as your workspace due to working remotely for so long. Or, it might just mean you’re too busy running around after vulnerable family members who are under a lot more pressure than yourself to stay safe to keep some time for yourself.

So what you need is something quick, easy, and convenient to help you make the most out of your health and to help improve your mental and physical well being, so you can carry on thinking about other important things.

So, here are a couple of things that you can do to show your body that you care about your physical and mental wellbeing.

#1 Do indoor and outdoor exercise

This can help boost your morale and positive hormone balance. It keeps you fit and healthy; if you have the time go out for a walk. If you don’t, do a few workout routines during the day to help clear your mind and help your body remain fit. This is a great way to kickstart your physical and mental welfare and can really help you sleep better at night.

Not only this, it helps your mind think more clearly and helps fight bad posture, obesity, and other long term health issues that can arise from not having enough exercise on a day to day basis.

#2 Try some destressing hobbies or methods

Solve some puzzles or take up relaxing evening games. This can help your mind move on from work and give you some separation from the outside world’s stress. Or, you could research some relaxation methods, such as vaping or meditating. You can purchase what you need for vaping from a vape store, and meditation can be taught through apps or books.

#3 Cook a new meal

Cook a new meal. Find a new recipe or an alternative to the one you already use. This can be something really simple, such as a different way to cook your omelet or another thing to try for lunch, such as a stir fry. Something quick and simple to help you take a break from work and focus on something else will help your mind. If the recipe you chose is healthy, you’ll be helping your body too.

Breaking your eating routine can give you something to look forward to in the long run of the day and make it seem like more of a reward for all the hard work you’ve done up until that point.
