Having a collection of fun and awesome mugs is something nowadays. It’s always great to have a coffee mug or wine glass with some witty saying or some fun colors to cheer you up. I have made wine glasses and mugs in the past for friends and family, but this time around I wanted to make a fun beer mug for the ladies.
Supplies Needed
- Mug of Choice
- ModPodge
- Sponge Brush
- Painters Tape
- Glitter
- Plate or Bowl
- Vinyl Decal
Step 01: First thing you want to do is make sure your mug is clean and dried. Once that is done, apply your painters tape how you see fit. I didn’t do anything crazy with mine but decided to go right above the grooves in the mug.
Step 02: Once you have your tape applied, you want to start creating a layer of mod podge. Try to get a nice think even layer or you will end up with blobs. haha
Step 03: Once you have your mod podge. Get your glitter and let the fun begin. Begin to sprinkle your glitter over your mug. Be sure to do this over a plate or bowl so you don’t have glitter everywhere.
Step 04: Give your mod podge a few moments to dry before peeling off the tape. It should dry fairy quickly. Once dried peel your painters tape off. =) Now you have yourself a beautiful glittery mug. This is where I want to get ready to add a decal. =)
Step 05: Now add your vinyl decal if you are choosing to add one. =) It’s 5pm somewhere… isn’t that the truth? HAHA.
I thought beer mugs would be fun to do as I always see wine glasses for us girls… but hey, maybe id like a beer mug too =P Hope you all have fun with your craft for this week! =)
