The Scuttling In The NightEvery night, you wake to an odd noise in your kitchen. Half-asleep, you likely stumble into the kitchen, turn on the light and not see a thing. You may just end up going back to bed and writing it off as simply being the ice machine or a strong breeze. If you decide to investigate, you may find that there are certain boxes of food that have mysterious holes in them. Or that the fruit resting in a bowl on your kitchen counter has been eaten through. One way or another, eventually, you’re going to realize that you have a mouse problem. The Stark TruthOnce you come to terms that you have a mouse problem, you may immediately think you know exactly what needs to be done. After all, mice are common. This may not even be the first time a mouse has found its way into your house. With mice a continued problem in the cities like New York, Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, and even smaller cities and towns, it’s bound to happen to you eventually. Your first attempt is to set a trap. You place the bait and go to sleep. Perhaps, in the middle of the night, you even hear the trap go off. When you inspect the trap the next day, however, not only do you find that the trap was, indeed, set off–the bait is missing! More than that, there isn’t a mouse in the trap! Mice can be clever when they want to be. They have developed skills to remove pieces of bait from traps without getting caught in them. As such, many of the standard traps that stores sell can’t quite get the job done. This is especially true if there’s more than one mouse. The next attempt you try something you saw on YouTube. A trap is set with peanut butter. Again, you go to sleep, and you hear something in the kitchen. When you investigate the next day, you find that the peanut butter hasn’t even been touched and there’s nothing in the trap. However, the mice sure did enjoy your new bowl of fruit. At this point, you’re probably livid. If you’re contemplating setting traps all over your house, then you should probably contact professional help. They understand exactly what needs to be done to ensure that the mice are removed–and more importantly–that no further mice enter your home. After all, you’ve likely put considerable thought into getting the mice out of your home that you didn’t even think about how they got inside your home in the first place. Because mice typically don’t go beyond 25 feet of their nests, you can be sure that the access point is nearby. Unless you block that area off, more mice will likely find their way into your home at some point. Also, have you considered the fact that mice actually have a difficult time seeing? As such, they stick to the walls as a way to help them navigate an area. So, if you’re setting your traps in the middle of the kitchen, you’re not going to catch anything. In addition, mice tend to stick to whatever it is that they’re eating at the time. So, if they’ve found a love for some fruit, they’re not going to bother with the peanut butter you have sitting around. Instead, it would be better to use the fruit that they’re enjoying eating as bait instead. Get Some HelpIf you’ve found yourself living in one of the top rattiest Cities there’s no need-to worry!
