As a parent, most of my time is spent on my children. Feeding, clothing, cleaning, playing, and raising an energetic little person who doesn’t yet understand the consequences. It’s exhausting, time-consuming, but ever so rewarding. Despite the rewards, we need a little time to ourselves. Cleaning the house while the little one is asleep doesn’t quite cut it as me time. It’s highly necessary, and it can give us a break, but sometimes we need a break. If even a short one. And this usually occurs during nap-time, that hour-or-so of golden silence.
So what do parents do to get that break? Well, here’s a list of some of the most popular things to do to catch a break.

Play on online casinos. This is a quick, no-strings-attached and easy way to entertain ourselves and forget about the world for a minute. It doesn’t even have to cost a lot. Heck, it doesn’t have to cost anything! Many online casinos offer a no deposit bonus. That’s a freebie for new players, and there are a lot of them available.
Watch YouTube. TV-series and movies make us invest our attention. If we’re dragged away we’ll miss something, and then the plot is lost. Watching YouTube is effortless, as you know, I’m sure. Clips, vines, and streams are easy to get away from and we haven’t lost much.
Cleaning/ household work. A fail-safe activity that can take as much or as little time as you have. Listening to music will help to disconnect for a while. Cleaning and household work can be relaxing, and it’s good for our mental health. Several studies have proven this.
Obviously, there are several other things to do during nap-time. What are your own favourites? I’m sure there are some of you out there that have some amazing ideas of how to unwind, entertain ourselves, and relax during the time-limited time of day. Please comment in the box below.
I’m a 20-something stay-at-home mother and wife. I have an amazing husband, a beautiful daughter, two loving dogs, and a lazy cat. I wouldn’t change my life for anything! I love to read, listen to music, cook and blog!
