When visiting Israel, it’s almost impossible to visit all holy sites during one trip, unless it is longer than a month. As a holy land, it plays a significant role in all three religions, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam.

Throughout the year, people flock to Israel seeking new experiences, learning more about the history of their religion, visiting archaeological sites, and while there, also enjoying some amazing activities each city has to offer, from swimming and sunbathing, hiking, and snorkeling to Jeep and camel rides.

In this post, we bring you the top Holy Land Tours 2020, hoping you’ll find the one that meets your wishes.

Jerusalem

This tour takes you to the best parts of Jerusalem and Masada. You’ll be able to explore the place where Jesus was born, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, and Masada.

In the Old City of Jerusalem, you can go to Mount of Olives and enjoy its stunning and panoramic view of Jerusalem, the Church of All Nations, the Church of Holy Sepulchre, the Western Wall; visit King David’s Tomb and Room of Last Supper on Mt. Zion. Stroll down the ancient Roman road, the Cardo and explore the Christian and the Jewish quarters. Don’t forget to check the Temple Mount, the oriental Bazaar, and the Via Dolorosa.

One of the amazing places to enjoy and relax in a peaceful ambiance is the Garden Tomb.

In Ein Karem, you can visit the Church of Visitation. Continue to the memorial to the Holocaust, Yad Vashem. Israel Museum and The Shrine of the Book are must-see. The Dead Sea scrolls and the miniature model of Jerusalem during the Second Temple era are kept and exhibited there.

Bethlehem

One of the most visited places is definitely Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus. There, you can visit the Church of Nativity, Rachel’s Tomb, Shepherds’ Fields, and Milk Grotto.

Masada

While on your tour, we strongly recommend driving through the Judean hills to Qumran caves. In 1946, the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Proceed to Massada, where you can take a cable car ride to the top where Kind Herod’s fortress is located. You’ll see the water cistern and remains of the walls. Masada is considered to be the last Jewish stronghold after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D.

After exploring Masada and bringing your trip to its end, the best way to relax and enjoy is to visit the Dead Sea area. It is the lowest point on Earth and its waters have some healing properties. Enjoy floating on the surface of the unsinkable water and cover yourself in the mineral-rich mud for some therapeutic effects.

Galilee Region

We also recommend visiting the Galilee region, where Nazareth and Capernaum are located. These are the places where Jesus spent his childhood.

In Capernaum, you can see the remains of the White Synagogue (the Byzantine-era Jewish Synagogue) and the ancient remnants of a first-century synagogue. Some other sites worth visiting in the area include the Church of the Multiplication, the Mount of Beatitudes, the archeological site Kursi, and many more.
