When the time is right we do love a gory zombie or a classic witch. However, beyond Halloween, exist opportunities for other costumes to take center stage for many reasons. Part of the thrill of costume wearing is finding the opportunities to do so. The other part of it is people’s positive reactions to your theatrical opportunism. Costumes bring smiles, start conversations, and foster a sense of comedic connection that people long for nowadays. With that in mind, we find food costumes to hit the mark. Food is a biological common interest we can easily bond over. Whether it be an event, a play on invitation wording, or just throwing on a food costume for the quirky joy of it.
