If you are reading my blog, you are probably a mother. And you probably have either a boyfriend or husband who you love very much. With children, I know how easy it is to put your relationship on the back-burner. If you have one child, you’re tired. If you have more than one, I am sure you are absolutely exhausted at the end of the day. So you don’t always feel like cuddling and enjoying each other’s company after the kid(s) have gone to bed – I understand that completely. I am the exact same way. Miles, my husband, and I always try to find little ways to enjoy each other’s company. We planned a date night the other night, but it was a stay-at-home date night! It’s a lot cheaper than going out and we loved it just as much!
We both love to cook, so we cooked dinner together. We made a delicious Veggie Chili (don’t worry, recipe will be coming soon)! I think cooking together definitely brings you closer, not just physically, but emotionally. While we cook, we always talk about things that are on our mind – what’s going on with our daughter, things with our family, plus things going on in the world. We also love to dance while we’re cooking – we’re not going to be on Dancing with the Stars anytime soon, but it’s fun and no need to be embarrassed if you break out The Sprinkler move! 😉
After dinner, of course, comes a movie! Since it’s October and Halloween is closer (yay!) we try to watch as many scary movies as we can. And scary movies, no matter how many times I have seen the movie, always scare me, so that makes it even better to cuddle to. 🙂 We love Rob Zombie’s Halloween, so that was the pick for this evening. Add some caramel popcorn, and we’re both happy!

Since the movie lasts awhile, it’s usually pretty late and since we’re home, we want to be able to get closer together. Since it was getting late by the time we went to bed, I didn’t feel like hopping in the shower – but luckily I had my Fresh + Sexy wipes handy! They fit great on the shelf on the back of our toilet. Whether you’ve been married twenty years, three years (we’re coming up three years on October 20th!) or just nine months, you need to keep the spark alive no matter how many children you have. I am not married, don’t have kids, and am not in a relationship. HOWEVER, I like reading posts like this to remind me that marriage is something to be desired. I also had no idea there were products like this out there. Seems like such a great idea!
