Maid or Man of Honor

The maid of honor is actually the bride’s right hand during the entire wedding preparation and wedding day. This role can be taken by anyone close to the bride, be It her friend or sister. However, if the bride wants to choose a male friend or brother to play the role, then it’s called the man of honor. The responsibilities that come with this role include selecting a dress, choosing a venue, attending the dress fittings, helping choose the bridesmaid dresses, and more. Basically, the maid of honor plays a role in every aspect of the wedding and provides a helping hand. Now, if you are wondering, What Does The Mother Of The Bride Do? She can even play the role of the maid of honor.

Best Man

The best man plays the same role as the maid of honor; however, it’s done for the groom. The groom can choose his best friend, brother, or even his dad to play the role. The man will stand beside the groom during the wedding and helps in every way possible when it comes to planning the wedding. Moreover, he is also in charge of planning a bachelor party, writing a speech for the reception, and much more.

Bridesmaids

Next come the bridesmaids who are the closest people to the bride. These can be her sister, close friends, cousins, or coworkers. There’s no fixed number of bridesmaids; for instance, the bride can choose either one or twenty, it all depends on her.

The bridesmaids are in charge of planning the wedding as well as her bridal shower and bachelorette party. Moreover, they walk down the aisle ahead of the bride on the wedding day. They also help guests spotting their seats and distribute favors to them.

Groomsmen

The groomsmen play the same role as bridesmaids and are normally the groom’s close friends. They help out the groom in any way possible and stand next to the groom on the wedding day.

Flower Girl

This role is the cutest one on the wedding day. The flower girl is either a younger sibling or cousin who walks down the aisle with the bridesmaids. However, what makes her role interesting is that she drops petals as she goes. She usually wears a dress with a flower headdress.

Ring Bearer

The ring bearer is the person who carries the rings down the aisle at the wedding. The couple can choose anyone important to play the role.
