All you really need is a good amount of outdoor space to play your yard games such as a back garden or a park. To get your hands on a pair or a few pairs of yard dice you can either go to some game shops that sell different versions from wood to inflatables or you can research the many DIY ways to make your own sets of outdoor giant dice. Many outdoor games which are played with a yard or giant dice will often require more than two dice, sometimes up to six dice to get the games going.

YARD YAHTZEE
Yahtzee has been around and played by many all over the world for years and certainly a favorite in many households. The game’s object is to score the highest points by throwing as many as five dice at a time in a game that will consist of thirteen rounds. With each turn, you can choose which die to roll again as you try to mark off the Yahtzee combinations from your scorecard. A scorecard is divided into two sections; the upper and lower section. The upper section is where you would add up all the dice of a specific number. Should you score higher than sixty-three on your upper section, you get to automatically add an additional thirty-five points to your upper section score. The lower scoring section is where you try to score a number based on the various Yahtzee combinations such as three of a kind, four of a kind, or full house very much like poker. To get a full house score, or otherwise called a Yahtzee, is to throw the die with all scoring the same number. This will earn you a total of fifty points.
THE PIG GAME
If you are looking for a fun yet simple game to keep the children entertained or even to add a bit of fun to your adult barbeques, Pig is a great game that is easy to understand and suitable for all ages to enjoy. With your giant pair of dice, the object of the game is to have each player roll their dice and try to reach a hundred points first, before all the other players. Each player will throw out their hand and as long as they did not throw out a one, they can tally up the score which matches what their dice landed on. It is then the player’s decision to continue rolling to try to accumulate points quicker however the catch with this game is, should you throw out a one, you will lose all the points you have earned and accumulated with each turn and start back at zero.
