5 Important Facts That You Should Know Before Getting That Irvine Hair Transplant

Sharing is caring!

Are you considering getting an Irvine hair transplant surgery? Doesn’t it sound pretty good? On a daily basis, a greater amount of your scalp is exposed, so you want your entire mane of hair back. You reason, “I’ll just get the operation, recover for a week or two, and then revert to my lovely, hairy-headed self.” That is incorrect. And that is where the unscrupulous, dubious charlatans profit because everyone can pitch you a hair transplant where they tell you a romantic narrative about an economical, minimal-pain, minimal-scarring treatment conducted in an exotic place where you can relax by the pool and be pampered by attractive nurses. Of course, everyone wants that, thus it is important to note that it’s past time to put away the rose-colored glasses and face reality. Although a hair transplant is a solution for a large percentage of guys, they arrived at this determination after asking several questions and exploring alternative therapies.

From someone who has undergone 13 hair transplant operations only a handful of which were said to be worth the money, suffering, and stress. The following are the unvarnished realities about hair transplants that you should be advised of before taking the leap.

Fact #1: Consider Hair Transplant as Your Last Resort

For many, hair transplant surgery may appear to be the Pinnacle of hair loss therapies since it is significant, lifelong, and perceived as a “job done.” The thing is, a hair transplant may be overkill for your current needs, and there are many other treatments that may be far more helpful. For example, FDA-approved therapies such as Finasteride and Minoxidil provide good outcomes for many men who have too thin or receding hair and enable them to put off surgical considerations for years.

Maintaining what you have also contributed to establishing a healthy foundation for future hair transplants. This may be because male pattern baldness is gradual and will continue to diminish in size if no action is taken. You must do everything possible to halt the trend of hair loss, as surgery should be used as a last choice, it seems the more you could do to assist your hair now, the better candidate you will be for surgery along the way if that is indeed the option you choose to undertake.

Fact #2: Your Hair Transplant Will Not Be Limited to One Procedure Only

Traditionally, the normal hair transplant patient would further undergo two to four procedures throughout the course of their lifespan. Whatever you’re working with here is a progressive disease that does not resolve with a single operation. You can bank on the transplanted hair being in place indefinitely, but as your body gradually sheds more of your very own native hairs, that region will eventually require attention.

Because the essence of hair is that you will always desire more and have always been able to improve and adjust it, keep in mind that one transplant is never enough – far from it. In that regard, hair is similar to money: you constantly want more. Dr. Tejinder Bhatti, a world-renowned IAHRS.org hair transplant surgeon who sees patients from all over the world at his highly regarded clinic in India, concurs that “While many of my patients are extremely satisfied with their initial hair transplant procedures, the majority return for additional ‘top up’ sessions as their expectations and goals frequently change.”

After their first appointment, patients realize how simple the procedure was and are prepared to enhance their hair further with touch-ups and modifications, and in most experiences, it is quite rare for an individual to get only one procedure.

Fact #3: Undergoing Hair Transplant Is Not A Cure To Hair Loss

Apologies for the terrible news, unfortunately, hair transplant surgery will not permanently treat your hair loss issue. Male pattern baldness is a hereditary and progressive condition, and even if your operation is completely successful, the hair loss will keep ongoing. This is why hair transplant doctors advise patients to begin pharmaceutical therapy around 12 months prior to performing surgical procedures.

The whole time period will allow your hair loss to stabilize, which is critical since shock loss is a common complication of hair transplant surgery and, in certain cases, the hair will not regrow if the loss is influenced by dihydrotestosterone (or DHT), the hormone which induces your loss of hair in the first place.

Fact #4: High-quality Hair Transplant Is Not Going To Be Cheap

Just to be clear, high-quality hair transplants aren’t really inexpensive. Avoid being enticed into a “free consultation” by a “rebate voucher” or into arranging a cheap surgery as part of a “limited time” deal. Plan ahead, be fiscally responsible, and always view a hair transplant as an asset to your beauty and long-term health.

A good hair transplant facility will employ a full-time surgeon as well as a multi-person in-house team of highly experienced medical experts to do your treatment alone. Dr. Alan Bauman, a renowned IAHRS surgeon, verifies this: “When contemplating a low-cost, ‘too good to be true’ service, ask yourself if you truly want to trust your health & wellbeing, as well as the danger of surgery, to an untrained, untested, perhaps hazardous operator.” Each patient must perform their own research, exercise due diligence, and visit with a real hair transplant doctor supported by a sophisticated staff committed only to hair restoration. Increased success rates, more pleasant treatments, rapid recovery, and natural results are all possible with specialists who have extensive expertise doing this highly unusual, sensitive, and subtle surgery.

Fact #5: Hair Transplant May Not Be Subsidized By Your Health Insurance

Hair transplant is a completely optional procedure. No amount of convincing your insurance provider that you require it to boost your self-confidence or even to salvage your relationship will sway them. Because of this, it is indeed essential for you to consider all of the financial implications when you are planning to undergo a hair transplant.  You should be alert and skeptical of clinics that provide financing options as well – there is nothing wrong with this in theory, but consider it a possible indicator that the clinic needs you more than you require them.
