The lice can spread, but they don’t carry disease, and they don’t mean that you or your kids are in any way unclean. There are times when you only need to use lice comb to comb out the nits, nymphs, and adult lice in your child’s hair. You can also combine combing with some easy home treatment. In addition to this, all the home remedies rely on some method to suffocate the lice. Using home remedies is to put chemicals on your child’s head. So, there is a review on the best home remedies for lice.

Try Wet Combing:

Wet combing is the most common way to remove lice from the hair. This method has benefits. This method helps you make the lice more visible, distinguishing them from dandruff, and being affordable.  Wet combing includes spraying the conditioner on wet strands of hair.

You can do this by using a fine-toothed comb and, in some cases, also magnifying glass to see each strand of the hair and remove the individual lice.  The wet combing method can be effective, and it is also time-consuming and require some patience to complete. If you try it, allow ample time and consider some entertainment options beforehand for your child.

Petroleum Jelly:

Using petroleum jelly is the most practical option to get of the hair lice. For this, all you need to do is apply a thick layer of petroleum jelly to the scalp of the hairs and leave it overnight. Then cover your head with the help of a towel or a shower can. Then in the morning, use some baby oil to remove the petroleum jelly.

You have to comb your hair thoroughly to remove the lice. You have to wash your hair after that. You have to use this method for several nights to get rid of the lice.

Smother the Lice:

Here are some natural suffocating or something treatments that work reliably well. This method will work best if you follow the instructions. It is very important to note that some experts believe that combing does the work. Remember that Suffocating treatments make them slower, and in this way, you can easily catch them. To use this technique, you first have to coat the hair with olive or almond oil.

Some people also prefer coating the comb instead of hair and reapplying the oil as needed. You may have to try both methods to see that which works best for you. First, you have to separate the hair into small sections as you work and use a hair clip or anything to move them out of the way.

It is recommended to do this process in a great light to see what you are doing easily.  Then you have to rinse out the comb often under running hot water. Once you have completely combed your child’s hair, then wash their hair with the regular shampoo, rinse, and repeat.

For completely cleaning the comb, you have to soak the comb in a 10 percent bleach solution or 2 percent Lysol solution for 20 minutes and then rinse it very well. You can also soak the comb in the vinegar for 30 minutes or boil it in water for 10 minutes. It is recommended to follow this procedure every day for a week.

Coconut Oil and Camphor Hair Mask:

To remove the lice, you can also use the mix of coconut oil and camphor as the oil will smother the lice, and the camphor will kill them because of the anti-parasitic properties. For this, you have to mix the tablespoons of coconut oil and one tablespoon of crushed camphor and apply this paste to your scalp. Then you have to leave it overnight and wash it off the next morning.
