Do you love cooking nutritious food for your whole family, even the furry kids??
For both humans and dogs the fact is that good food is basic to good health. Research has shown that children who regularly eat home-cooked and nutritious meals are healthier and live a more stable life, the same is true for dogs and consuming a diet of balanced and homemade foods will help keep them more active and out of the veterinarian’s office.
For many, however, the thought of cooking two meals one for you and one for your pet seems daunting and overly time consuming. In DOG-GONE GOOD CUISINE (St. Martin’s Griffin; on sale Feb 18) certified nutritionist and chef Gayle Pruitt demonstrates how to cook healthy and delicious dishes for dogs and humans alike. With over 100 corn, sugar, soy, and gluten free recipes, some of the mouthwatering meals include:
Salmon Florentine
Individual Spinach Kale Lasagna
Spiced Stuffed Peppers
Twice Baked Broccoli Asparagus Souffl
Pears with Raspberry Sauce
Cream of Cinderella Pumpkin Soup
Chicken Pot Pie cooked in Sweet Pepper
Tomato Carrot Soup
Curried Beef Sliders

I’m a 20-something stay-at-home mother and wife. I have an amazing husband, a beautiful daughter, two loving dogs, and a lazy cat. I wouldn’t change my life for anything! I love to read, listen to music, cook and blog!

Hi! These sound really good. I have one dog that will barely eat dog food, so I do cook for them, some. Thanks for this! I found you on Serenity You!
I’d love to make pizza for my dog, right now he gets the crust and loves it! It always makes him super happy. I’d love to make a whole pizza that he can eat.
I would love to be able to share spaghetti and meatballs. I do cook for him. He loves rice and chicken.
I would love to share meat with my dog.
I would like to make a sweet and cooling treat for my dog this summer if something like that could be made safe for her. In the summer I always keep an extra supply of cool treats for the kids like jello and popsicles and I wish I could safely give her something like that as well when she comes in from her walks.
Looks like a fun idea. I am sure any dog will love it.
We share ice cream with Kingers – we buy him his own vanilla
