Welcome to one of my first beauty/make-up product reviews. As I’m learning morning about make-up application, I have decided to start including that in my blog. Besides, this blog is all about things for mothers and females, so it fits in quite well! I’m starting out with a eyeshadow palette I bought a couple weeks ago. The NYX Sex Bomb palette!
NYX’s SexBomb Femme Fatale palette comes with six different eyeshadow colors to help make a great day or night look. From left to right:
- Red – This is my favorite color of the palette. You can create a very dramatic look by adding a couple layers of this red to all over your lid. It does very well by layering it to make it even more dramatic.
- Dark Graphite – Whith some shimmer, this dark graphite color is great for the crease. This one is definitely used best with the included sponge applicator – I found that with annother eyeshadow brush you can have a lot of fall out.
- Sparkly Mauve – This is a very sheer color that goes very well with the red. I like putting a little of this in the corner of my eye. Adds great sparkle! This is my second favorite color just because of the sparkle it adds.
- Light Beige – With my fair skin, this goes great as a highlighter for the brow. It goes on very sheer, and is kind of powdery so be careful when loading your brush up – it can cause a mess.
- Taupe – This is a nice, matte color. It’s not one of my favorite colors, but may look better on someone with a little darker skin than my own.
- Black – This black is ah.ma.zing! It has great pigmentation. You can just put a little one to get a bit of black, or work it up to get a great, dark color. This is definitely a must-have for a night look!
I bought the NYX Sex Bomb Palette at Ulta for $7.49. This is actually the first NYX palette I have ever used – when I saw the red I just had to try it. I’m a sucker for red. 🙂 I love that you can create a dark, sultry look with a pop of red, or use the palette to great an every day, pretty look. I will definitely be buying more NYX products in the future – the price is great for the quality!
I’m a 20-something stay-at-home mother and wife. I have an amazing husband, a beautiful daughter, two loving dogs, and a lazy cat. I wouldn’t change my life for anything! I love to read, listen to music, cook and blog!
I love those colors! I am such a wiener when it comes to make-up – I still use a lot of Cover Girl stuff, the same stuff I used as a kid. I will have to check nyx out!
Those are certainly bright colors! I think my crew would enjoy wearing these.
I love NYX! It’s one of my favorite brands to play around with because they’re so affordable and the products are decent quality for the price. I own loooots of their eyeshadows!

I don’t ever feel like I do a good enough job with my eyes, so I’ve been trying to experiment more with color and I think I’d really like to try playing around with the red and black in this pallet. 🙂

I love those colors! I’m always so scared to buy nyx palettes because I’ve had some major duds but this one is cute!
