If you have a baby in the home then you surely have baby jars coming out your ears! Finding great uses for these dainty little jars may seem like a hard thing to do but there are tons of ways to re-use them. Instead of throwing them directly into the recycle bin take a look around your home and see if you have any small objects that need to be organized. Using them on or in your desk is a great way to use them and keep all those tiny paperclips and thumb tacks from getting lost or worse yet… falling onto the floor. Have you ever stepped on a thumb tack in the middle of the night?? It’s actually worse than stepping on a Lego believe it or not!
You will want to make sure you wash your used baby food jars well before you use them. Soak them in a sink of soapy dishwater and scrub away. Putting them through a cycle in your dishwasher should sanitize them for all your crafting and organizing needs. If you can’t get the unsightly sticker glue off the outside of the jar try rubbing with rubbing alcohol and it should come right off for you. Here are some fantastic ideas for re-using your old baby food jars.

If you still have a ton of baby jars left over at the end of the month check with your local daycare, church or woman’s shelter. They may be able to use them at arts and crafts time with the kiddos. In the end if you still have some left over make sure you toss them in the recycle bin….. these things can really add up in our landfills.
Do you have any great uses for baby food jars that you have used in your home?
I’m a 20-something stay-at-home mother and wife. I have an amazing husband, a beautiful daughter, two loving dogs, and a lazy cat. I wouldn’t change my life for anything! I love to read, listen to music, cook and blog!
Thank you for this post I have a HUGE tote of jars I could not bare to get rid of.
I didn’t know there were so many uses! I used to toss mine in the recycle bin.
I am going to have to take some of my baby food jars and make these amazing ideas. I like the change idea and the putting office supplies inside!
Wow so many uses that I would have never thought about. My daughter has baby food jars, I will have to get some from her.
