Here is how you can create a Valentine’s Day conversation hearts votive holder, perfect for displaying amongst your décor or for gift giving. Making one is a cinch and costs just pennies too! Here is how to get started making your own.
Supplies Needed:
- Small Glass Jelly Jar or Canning Jar
- Conversation Hearts Candy
- Ribbon or Twine For Trim
- Tea Light (Battery Operated or Real)
- Scissors
Directions:
- Begin by filling the jar 3/4 way full with the conversation heart candy.
- Nestle the tea light into the candy and fill in around it the best you can. Depending on the size it may need to rest on top of the candy. This is just fine.
- Add a length of ribbon or twine around the top of the jar for extra detail. You can tie it into a bow or let it drop naturally.
Can you believe how easy that just was? Your Valentine’s Day conversation hearts votive holder is now ready for use! While the flame is safe under supervision, you can also use a battery operated votive holder if you have concerns. Either one will fit nicely and give off a great glow.

What a sweet (no pun intended) idea! I love how it’s inexpensive and simple to make, and a good project for the kids to help out with. A few of these jars would make for great table or mantle decor, and I can only imagine how pretty they are when the candles are lit up!
