The Beautiful St. Paul Hotel in Wooster, Ohio

Last month I was fortunate enough to be invited on a great trip to Wooster, Ohio. Wooster is only about 4 hours from me in Harrison/Cincinnati but I had never been there prior. I’m excited to share my adventures with Chad and Ryan of Green Door Media as well as Heather at Food Hussy and Krissy of All in a Day’s Work! First up – our beautiful hotel – St. Paul Hotel.

St. Paul Hotel has a long history, starting with the building it is in. It was built in the late 1800’s and opened as CC Hotel around 1900. At that time it has 37 rooms on the upper two floors with one shared bathroom on each floor. Unfortunately at that time the hotel did not have a good reputation. In the 1920’s, the hotel changed names to Hotel St. Paul but still had a bad reputation. In the 1970’s it was purchased by a non-profit group converted the building into 6 apartments for subsidized housing. That non-profit then went out of business around 2008.

Love the beautiful decorations in the St. Paul Hotel! #DoWoo #OMTravels

Now St. Paul Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel. When you first enter the hotel, you are greeted by the wonderful staff, and there is a great room in the front with a beautiful fireplace where you can do some work or just enjoy a cup of coffee while looking outside at downtown Wooster. Throughout the hallways and public spaces you will find photos that are the work of local photographers. They were also decorated for the Christmas season, as well.

St Paul Hotel Wooster Ohio -01 As far as the rooms go – they are unbelievable! There are a total of 12 rooms, with 2 of them being two room suites. There was a dresser/desk combo with a huge TV above it. Next to the desk was a small refrigerator. Guess what – it was stocked with FREE Coke products and water! Usually with hotels you’re charged for whatever you drink from the mini-fridge. But not at St. Paul Hotel, which was so nice, especially since I love my Coca-Cola. 🙂 There was a comfy chair to sit in while watching TV, and a huge bed with nice tables and reading lamps on each side. It was perfect.

St Paul Hotel Wooster Ohio -02 As much as I loved the huge TV, comfy bed, and the stocked mini fridge – my absolute favorite part of my hotel room? The bathroom. I don’t believe I’ve ever raved about a bathroom so much, but almost a month later and I’m still bringing this bathroom up. It was big, clean, and you’ll never guess this – but the floor was HEATED. That may not sound like a big deal, but you will totally miss it when you leave. It was so wonderful getting out of the shower or walking into the bathroom first thing in the morning and not stepping on a cold floor. As soon as I checked in, got to my room, and found out and experienced the heated floor, I called my husband and told him that in our next home we have to have a heated bathroom floor. 😉 The shower features a great rain forest shower head, along with a wall mounted and hand-held one.

The bathroom is also stocked with some great Tommy Bahama products, which is a nice touch.

Other amenities include a complimentary breakfast served to your room each morning (make sure to try the blueberry and lemon muffins!), WiFi access, Tommy Bahama toiletries, as well as a fitness center that is open 24-hours.

Overall, St. Paul Hotel is a gorgeous hotel that I would definitely stay in again! From the great rooms to the friendly staff, it’s a great hotel that I am sure you will love as well!
