Beauty. People define it in many different ways. For me, it’s having self-confidence and bringing joy to other people’s lives. I think having confidence in yourself is most important to be able to feel beautiful to yourself. This is definitely something I know I struggle with. I have been working on it, though, because I want my daughter to be confident and truly believe that she is beautiful. Everybody is beautiful in their own way, so there’s no reason that anyone, young or old, should not see their true beauty.
Luckily, Dove and Walgreens are joining forces to help redefine beauty. 2014 is the 10th anniversary of the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty, which is rooted in listening to women. Walgreens and Dove want to start conversations on self-esteem and redefine what it means to be beautiful. To help spread awareness of this campaign, You’re invited to join the #DoveBeautyChat Twitter party on March 12th at 8pm EST with @ResourcefulMom!
