Human beings are all too quick to prescribe judgments based on looks, perceptions, fears, or some other minute indicators of difference we don't know the source of. What we lose by living with these notions is an accurate sense of others, skewed by our own invention. We're also more likely to hear stories about people being unkind to one another, but today we're going to cover some much needed human charity and kindness. We're kind of sweethearts. We all like to give back and, yeah, we lik … [Read more...]

What I’m Thankful For 4/365

Yesterday was a long, crazy day. I wasn't online much at all, hence why I didn't post this yesterday. But here we go! :) I'm thankful that Miles got called into work early. He was supposed to work 1-9pm but something happened and someone couldn't come in so he got to work 9am-5pm. It worked out because we got to go shopping at Jungle Jim's afterwards, which we wouldn't have been able to do if he had worked the later shift. We had a good time. :)   … [Read more...]

What I’m Thankful For 3/365

I'm very happy that I actually got sleep last night. I fell asleep around 8pm yesterday and didn't wake up until 9am this morning! It was much needed since Tuesday night I only got an hour of sleep... and really, it doesn't count as Tuesday night since it was between 8am and 9am Wednesday. Whatever. Just happy that *maybe* I'm finally caught up on sleep and I'm back on a schedule! Here's to hoping! :) What are you thankful for today?   … [Read more...]

What I’m Thankful For 2/365

Yesterday was a great day and I was gone most of the day and went to bed extremely early at 8pm, so I didn't get a chance to post this! Here we go now, though! :) I'm thankful for my friend Alie and the time we got to spend together yesterday. We had a good girl's day out. We went to Jungle Jim's and explored while she did some grocery shopping. We had a really good time! We don't get to spend a lot of time together, so the time we do spend is precious to me. :-)   … [Read more...]

What I’m Thankful For 1/365

Happy 2013 everybody! I am going to be writing a post of some goals I want to hit this year, and one of them is to write at least one thing I'm thankful for each day. If I miss a day or two, then I'll just do several the day I catch up. So here we go we day one! I'm thankful for the fact that Miles has a job that allows me to be a stay-at-home mother. I love being there 24/7 for my daughter and be able to watch her grow up. Plus the fact that she doesn't have to go to daycare is … [Read more...]

Thankfulness

Today has been a very long, frustrating day. Honestly, I'm so thankful it's over. Since it was such a rough day I just want to remind myself for what I'm thankful for. 1. My husband - Miles is one of the sweetest, most loving and caring men out there. I'm so honored to be able to call him my husband. He's my rock, my soul and my best friend. I love him so much. 2. My daughter - Riley is such a smart, beautiful little girl. Just seeing her smile makes me forget about all of the bad … [Read more...]

5 Steps!

So one of the most exciting things ever happened to night (or at least most exciting to me and my husband, at least)... Our daughter took her first 5 steps all by herself! Ahh, it was so exciting! I'm so proud of my little girl! What happened was she was standing at the couch and my husband was sitting on the floor a couple feet away. He held her cup out to her to see if she wanted something to drink, and she let go of the couch and took 5 steps to him! I started crying. Lol. Children … [Read more...]
