Did you realize that just five months from yesterday will be Christmas Day? Crazy, right? You don’t have to wait until December to get into the spirit here in Cincinnati, though! Just visit Kings Island for Christmas in July!

Kings Island Christmas in July -01As soon as you walk into Kings Island you are greeted by Christmas music and decorations all along International Street. It was such a nice surprise, especially with the scorching heat we have had. Just thinking about Christmas and colder weather made me feel just a bit cooler. 😉Kings Island Christmas in July -03 Kings Island Christmas in July -02There are all kinds of events going on this week and weekend. Each day you can enjoy the music and decorations, as well as holiday themed face painting at participating face painting locations, holiday themed treats at Sweet Spot and a Christmas themed firework show nightly at 10pm!

Kings Island Christmas in July -05You do not want to miss Santa’s Workshop in the Tower Gardens by the Eiffel Tower either. You get to have fun with a snowman, Santa, and crafting!

IMG_0073Of course I couldn’t pass up the chance to sit on Santa’s lap. I just loved Santa’s outfit for summer – shorts, fun socks, Converse, a fun red tropical shirt, and of course his hat.

This weekend, Friday-Sunday, Kings Island will also be playing a free Christmas movie! They start at dusk in the Showplace Theatre. Friday’s show is Elf, Saturday’s is How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Sunday is The Santa Clause!

And do not miss Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, July 30th and Sunday, July 31st from 8-9:30am. There is a great breakfast buffet along with kids activities, and a special meet and greet and photo opp with Santa. You can find out more details on the Christmas in July page on Kings Island’s website.

Make sure to visit the Events page to find out what else Kings Island has going on this season. There is sure to be something you and your family will enjoy!
