We all go through difficult times. Some of us go through harder things than others, but we all go through difficult things. I like to try and make everyone smile, no matter how bad of a day they are having. I’m sharing with you a favorite thing to cheer people up with – a gift basket, featuring Coca-Cola!
About 8 months ago my aunt and I started going to bingo every Thursday night at our local American Legion post. She brought along her best friend, Linda. Linda is a sweet lady. Unfortunately just a couple months ago she was diagnosed with stage 3 Lymphoma. To try and bring some “Happy” to her life, and bring her a bit of comfort, I decided to put together a gift basket of goodies that will hopefully bring her some comfort as she goes through this difficult time.I headed to my local Walgreens to pick up the items for this Basket of Comfort. I love that Walgreens is so convenient and had everything I wanted to get for this.
After perusing the store, the items I decided to include in the basket include:
- 20 oz. Coca Cola
- Dr. Teals Pure Epsom Salt Foaming Bath
- Exfoliating Puff
- Burt’s Bees Lip Balm (Island)
- Brookeside Acai & Blueberry Chocolate Covered Pomegranate Seeds
- Glade Lavender Candle
- Magazine
All of these items are sure to bring comfort and Happy to Linda! This would be a wonderful time to use the Share a Coke bottles! I’m sure they would love to receive a bottle with their name on it. After you select the items that you want to include in your basket, you just need to grab a basket and maybe include some fresh picked flowers, and you’re good to go!
