We have all had bad hair days, right? Did you have one the day of your prom, though? That is one of the many things that happens to Monica (played by Laura Marano) when she wakes up on her prom day in Bad Hair Day, Disney Channe’s Original Movie that premieres tonight, February 13th at 8pm EST. Along with getting to interview Leigh-Allyn Baker on our trip in Los Angeles, our blogger group also got to prescreen Bad Hair Day. I’m sharing my review of this great family movie today!

Laura Marano’s character, Monica, is a high school tech wizard. She has been running polls for people to vote on to determine her prom dress, shoes, hair, and more.

Of course, the morning of prom, when Monica wakes up things do not go as planned. She has a TERRIBLE bad hair day. And her dress melted. And her shoes are messed up. That’s a teenager’s worst nightmare, right? I know it would have been if that happened to me!

The only thing that is right is the beautiful necklace Monica picked out. And the best part? She didn’t need anyone’s approval for it. It was the one thing she just felt right about and bought it without insight from others.

Of course something bad has to happen to that, too – that’s where Leigh-Allyn Baker’s character, Liz comes in. Liz is a police officer who is seeking out the necklace to keep it from a jewel thief, Pierce (played by Christian Campbell).

Monica and Liz team up to get the necklace back from Pierece after he steals it from Monica’s home. At first Monica and Liz butt heads a lot but they learn things from each other and end up great friends.
This Disney Channel Original Movie is a great movie that the whole family can sit down and enjoy together. For the girls, you have two great girl powers come together. For the boys, there’s a sweet car chase and more. This movie is just jam-packed with comedy, action, and drama. All the things that make for a great movie. This really looks like a cute movie that everyone can enjoy.
I will probably watch this one day if it ever comes on Netflix. I don’t usually watch movies like this unless its on Netflix and I am bored!
