Disney+ Is Missing These TV Shows

Disney Plus is one of the latest entrants into the online video streaming world. Some of the content you can watch on the streaming platform includes animations, TV shows, and live-action movies. Users can also stream Disney Channel sitcoms and Toon Disney series.

Disney Plus features Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and hit shows like Loki, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and WandaVision. The MCU has fueled Disney Plus’s popularity because it commands a loyal following from fans across the globe. The list of blockbuster movies available on Disney plus is endless. The library includes most of 20th Century Fox’s Fantastic Four and X-Men movies.

However, if you have cravings to watch Disney Plus Shows, let me tell you that Disney+ library has some notable omissions, including popular titles. For some of these titles, it’s pretty apparent why Disney pulled them from the streaming platform. But for others, all we can do is speculate since Disney+ are yet to explain why their library is missing TV shows. Here is our list of missing TV shows on Disney Plus.

The Simpsons (Season 3 Episode 1)

The reason this episode is no longer available on Disney Plus is apparent. This episode is titled Stark Raving Dad, but most people know it as the Michael Jackson Episode because Jackson voiced a character impersonating himself in a loony bin.

The decision to pull the episode was made after HBO’s Leaving Neverland release that made serious allegations against Jackson. Actually, Disney scrapped the episode from their history even before the launch of Disney+ in 2019.

Shake It Up (Season 1 Episode 7)

This episode, titled Party It Up, is not on the Disney Plus library. The person behind its absence is none-other than Demi Lovato. Years after it aired, Lovato talked about the episode and criticized its use of an inappropriate eating disorder joke.

After the criticism, Disney+ pulled the episode from its library, and rightly so because such content doesn’t age well.

Andi Mack (Multiple Episodes Missing)

Andi Mack is one show to avoid because it’s missing multiple episodes. The first season has two episodes left, and the second season is missing its best episode where Andy’s friend Cyrus comes out as gay. The third season retains the most episodes, but there’s no way you can watch this TV show with all those missing episodes. Don’t waste your time streaming this show because the gaps are far too many.

Recess (Multiple Episodes Missing)

Recess was a hit between 1997 to 2001. But according to Disney Plus, the animated series went from 1997 to 1999 and only had three seasons. There’s no rational explanation for the missing episodes, and until now, there’s no word whether they will ever be released. However, fans of this show have noticed the missing episodes.

The Suite Life of Zack and Cody (Two Episodes Missing)

Two Episodes from The Suite Life, season 1 episode 18 and season 3 episode 20, are missing from the Disney Plus library. They pulled the first episode from the library because of a sensitive storyline where Zack pretends to have dyslexia to avoid summer school. It’s still not clear why the season 3 episode is not available for streaming.

Smart Guy (Season 1, Episode 4)

On its original broadcast, the first season of Smart Guy had seven episodes. Today, it only has six episodes on Disney Plus. The original fourth episode, Don’t Do That Thing You Do, is nowhere to be seen, and it’s unclear why.

DuckTales (Sphinx for the Memories and Launchpad’s Civil War)

Sphinx for the Memories and Launchpad’s Civil War are missing from the Disney Plus playlist of this animated TV show. These two shows represent episodes 7 and 27, respectively, and again, there’s no clear indication why the shows are missing on Disney+.

Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends (The Quest of the Red Skull)

This series was one of the hits back in the 80s. But sadly, one of its best episodes, The Quest of the Red Skull, is not on the platform anymore. This is not the first time this episode has been left out because it touches on a delicate subject. The Red Skull’s ties with Nazi Germany and an attempt to wreak havoc in the world are part of the reason it’s no longer available
