A trip to Disney is such an exciting time for kids and it’s a chance to make some wonderful memories as a family. It’s so much fun to watch a child’s face light up when they see their favorite Disney character in person and just knowing they will never forget these moments. A Disney vacation CAN be very expensive, however cheap Disney vacations can be a total blast; there is no need to break the bank. Don’t spend your time there stressing about the cost; after all, Disney is the happiest place on earth. I have some awesome tips you may not have known to enjoy cheap Disney vacations.
- Visit in the off-season: The best time to visit Disney is in the off-season, the crowds will be less and prices on hotels and flights will be lower. You can check for the best time to visit Disney
- Save on Travel: You have two options to get to Disney, either fly or drive. Driving is obviously a great way to get to add savings to cheap Disney vacations. You’ll want to calculate about how much you will spend in gas to get there and also meals for the trip, also take into consideration the cost of a hotel if you won’t be driving straight through. Take that cost and compare it to the cost of flights and car rental. Don’t forget to take into account those sneaky airline fees!!! If you are staying at a Disney resort you will not need a car as a Disney shuttle will pick you up from the airport, taking you to your destination. You can search for deal on flights to Disney on com, Southwest.com or Travelocity.com
- Are Meal Plans worth it ? : Unless you can find a time to visit Disney when meal plans are free, they are not worth it in my opinion. The prices are very high and you can make a quick trip to a local grocery and load up on bottle water, snacks, yogurt and deli items for meals at the park. Just be sure you are staying at a hotel that has a mini fridge. You can also get groceries delivered if you will not have access to a car. We have used Garden Grocer and WeGoShop.
- Know the Disney Freebies: Yes there are items that are free at Disney!
- Free stickers
