DIY Pumpkin Puppets | Optimistic Mommy

Want some easy and inexpensive fun this fall season? Take a look at these DIY pumpkin puppets, perfect for kids to act out Halloween finger plays or puppet shows. You only need a few supplies to make your own, so here is how you can get started!

Supplies needed:

  • Wooden craft sticks
  • Orange craft paint
  • Black marker
  • Green pipe cleaners
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue, glue gun
  • Paint brush

Directions:

  1. Begin by applying two coats of orange paint to the craft sticks. Allow the paint to dry well.
  2. Use your black marker to create the face on your pumpkin. You can get as creative as you wish with the face or keep it simple.
  3. Cut a small segment of green pipe cleaner and twist it into a curl. Add a dab of glue to the end and press it to the top of the craft stick.

Your pumpkin puppets are now ready to be enjoyed. Use them to tell all sorts of pumpkin stories and rhymes, or you can even use them as bookmarks. Either way, they are sure to bring you some frugal fall fun.
