Fashion Nova, a reputable online fashion brand, is known for its generous contribution to marginalized groups through its unending series of activism and awareness campaigns. As part of its recent community-based initiatives, Fashion Nova partnered with the famous American rapper Megan Thee Stallion to donate $25K to Until Freedom, a frontline organization campaigning against racial injustices.
This donation to Until Freedom was made through a women empowerment program called Women on Top.
The Women on Top initiative is a program launched in March 2021 by Fashion Nova in partnership with Megan Thee Stallion in honor of Women’s History Month. The duo raised $1M with the sole aim of empowering women entrepreneurs, students, women-based and female-led institutions, and organizations by offering them monetary aid in the form of donations, scholarships, and grants.
Fashion Nova and Megan had a list of their pre-selected beneficiaries where each of these lucky beneficiaries received $25K or more from the donations basket.
Among the recipients of this funding was Until Freedom, a frontline social justice organization built on the leadership of diverse individuals to campaign against systemic and racial injustice.

Fashion Nova’s founder and CEO Richard Saghian said, “At Fashion Nova, women empowerment and ongoing advocacy for diversity and inclusion have always been part of our guiding principles. We believe the world will be a better place when all women are provided the opportunity to maximize their potential. This program was created to give women a greater advantage as they pursue their passions.”
Megan also had a few things to say concerning these donations, “These donations are life-changing and will help women of all ages get one step closer to making their dreams a reality.”
Fashion Nova made this donation public through a tweet that read, “Today Fashion Nova is giving $25,000 to @UntilFreedom, an organization whose work is focused on mitigating systemic and racial injustice and promoting police accountability. Until Freedom works tirelessly on the frontlines fighting for justice and criminal justice reform.”
Fashion Nova didn’t stop its generous contributions here. The women empowerment program behind these donations was set to run from March 8 through to March 31, and during this time, different female-based and women-led organizations, foundations, and business establishments benefited from this program.
Some of the other beneficiaries of this initiative included Texas Southern University, Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles, Breonna Taylor Foundation, Black Women For Wellness, and SCJR Productions’ Educational Initiative.

In April 2020, Fashion Nova went an extra mile to help those adversely affected by the effects of the coronavirus pandemic through a philanthropic program dubbed the Covid 19 relief fund. This program was launched as a partnership with a famous rapper Cardi B, which raised $1M. These funds were given to different qualifying individuals, with each receiving $1K. Twenty-four different individuals were awarded daily.
Again during the Black Lives Matter (BLM) campaigns, Fashion Nova chipped in and donated $1M to fight against racial injustice.
Without a doubt, we can say Fashion Nova is a frontline company when it comes to activism and awareness campaigns targeting marginalized groups in society.
