Earlier today I shared my review of Disney’s Cinderella. Now I am sharing my review of the short film, Frozen Fever, that was shown before the feature film. Plus, I have some very exciting Frozen 2 news! 
In Frozen Fever, we see Anna and Elsa again on a big day – Anna’s birthday! Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give Anna the best birthday party ever – but Elsa catches a cold and things go awry.
This short was super cute! And the whole theater, parents and children alike, were laughing throughout. I love how there were some Easter eggs hidden in Frozen Fever – that’s one of the best parts about most Disney movies. Check out Yahoo for the 6 In-Jokes and Easter Eggs (warning: spoiler alert).
With Frozen Fever showing before Cinderella, and the excitement surrounding this short, at the Disney Annual Meeting of Shareholders the morning of March 12, Big Iger (Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company), John Lasseter (Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios) and actor Josh Gad (voice of Olaf in Frozen) they announced that Frozen 2 is officially in development at Walt Disney Studios with directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee and producer Peter Del Vecho, the Oscar-winning filmmaking team behind Frozen. John Lasseter said, “We enjoyed making Frozen Fever so much and being back in that world with those characters. Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we’re taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that.”
And we are very excited to hear about another Frozen movie! In the Pies’ household, we just cannot “Let It Go.” 😉 There is no release date or production notes released yet – but I will share them with you as soon as I have them!
