If you saw my post the other day about green/organic products and enjoyed it (or entered the giveaway), then you may be interested to hear about this great company called Green BEAN Delivery. Currently Green BEAN delivers to the following areas Indiana (Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Muncie and Anderson), Kentucky (Louisville, Lexington), Ohio (Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton), and Missouri (St. Louis).
With Green BEAN Delivery, you get to choose from one of five different product bins. Each bin consists of different contents, which are selected by the company to include a mix of seasonal product. You can either choose to go with the mix that is selected or you may customize the bin to better suit your preferences/needs. You have until the weekend before your scheduled delivery to change the product that will be in your pin. The best part is that in spring, summer and fall you will see local produce included in your bin – it’s a great way to support your local farmers!
There are 5 different options for produce bins:
- Small Produce (Good for 2-3 people)
- Medium Fruit & Vegetable (Good for small family)
- Large Fruit & Vegetable (Good for 4+ people)
- Fruit, Vegetable & Grocery Bin (You will need to add extra groceries on since this bin is only $28)
How Green BEAN works is you sign up for a membership and you set up a standing order, which must total a minimum of $35. You can also choose to add add groceries or other a la carte options, including local eggs, dairy, bread, meats, artisan foods, bulk kitchen staples, and much more. Your delivery date will be based on the area you live in, which you can find out by visiting the ‘Delivery Schedule’ tab at the top of their site. If you and some co-workers would like to order bins and have them delivered to your workplace, if there are 5+ people ordering, you can receive a 5% discount!
