How to play Hitman 1 and 2 missions on PC or consoles through Hitman 3

Sharing is caring!

Agent 47 will return in the next installment of the long-running killer series, bringing more exotic locations, more carefully planned assassinations, and more costumes than you can imagine. Hitman 3 will be released on January 20, 2021. Just like its predecessor, you can import your progress and levels from previous games and play them with all the new updates.

Depending on how you plan to choose “Hitman 3”, there are several different ways to import your progress and levels from “Hitman (2016)” and “Hitman 2” into the new game. There is a blog post about it on the IO Interactive website, but here is a simpler description of how it works. You can also get the information online from experts by paying fees through payment gateways like transferwise account.

Import Hitman 2 to Hitman 3

No matter which platform you play on, the basic knowledge of importing Hitman (2016) and the progress of Hitman 2 in Hitman 3 remain unchanged. IO Interactive stated that all current Hitman 2 players can import their progress into Hitman 3. Therefore, through the Legacy Pack, it can also include all levels and progress of Hitman (2016), which means you can be sure that Killer 3 includes the entire process you started from Killer 1 and 2. However, the way it works depends on the system you are playing on. Let’s explore it in depth.

Import Hitman 2 to Hitman 3 on Console

Easy on the console. Just go to the IO Interactive website, press the button, and start the transfer from Hitman 2 to Hitman 3.

You will see your “Hitman 2” player profile, XP level, position mastery level, position mastery unlock, challenge progress, challenge unlock, and elusive goals to adapt/unlock all transfers.

To access Hitman 1 and 2 levels in Hitman 3, just make sure you have Hitman 2 installed on your console when you start Hitman 3. It will detect that you own the game and give you access to the levels you can access in Hitman. 2.

It is important to remember a few things. One is that you can only transfer on each platform, so you can only switch from Hitman 2 PlayStation to Hitman 3 PlayStation, and the same is true for Xbox players.

Another thing to remember is that you can only do this once. Therefore, if you transfer and continue playing Hitman 2, any progress you make there will remain in Hitman 2.

Import from Hitman 2 to Hitman 3 on PC

Importing your progress will remain the same, but accessing Hitman levels 1 and 2 in Hitman 3 will be slightly different. Since “Hitman 1” and “Hitman 2” are included in Hitman 3 as part of the Access Pass system, you need to have the corresponding Access Pass to play these levels, at least for Hitman 1 level.

The way it works on the PC is that you can claim the GOTY Access Pass of the Hitman 1 for all purchasers or pre-purchasers of the Hitman 3 for free within the first 10 days after the release of the Hitman 3. Another option is to have “Hitman 3” (2016) on the EGS platform. This will unlock to get credit free 50 like in the Assassin (2016) level in Assassin 3.

Speaking of the levels of “Hitman 2”, IO Interactive’s recent update means that PC players who already own “Hitman 2” will be able to import their levels into the third game of the series for free. At the time of writing this article, the exact system to perform this operation has not been established, but please pay close attention to it before the publication date for more information.
