One of my husband and I’s favorite places to go to during spring, summer, and fall is Kings Island. We have so much fun there. This year we decided to bring our daughter along for some family fun. It was her first time visiting the park, and we had so much fun. Today I’m sharing things you should do at Kings Island if its your first time!
Play/Ride
Of course playing/riding is number one! There are so many great rides at Kings Island. For Riley, we of course had to go to Planet Snoopy. This is a great section of Kings Island perfect for kids that has Peanuts-themed rides and attractions. Riley’s favorite ride while we were there? Woodstock Whirlybirds. She enjoyed going on an aerial tour above Planet Snoopy – and I love that a parent is allowed to go on it with their child. It definitely makes it more fun. Other rides include Race For Your Life Charlie Brown, Snoopy’s Space Buggies, Joe Cool’s Dodgem School, Charlie Brown’s Wind Up, Snoopy vs. Red Baron, and more! There is also a fun petting farm called Snoopy’s Barnyard Friends. You get to learn about and interact with more than 60 animals. Planet Snoopy really is perfect for family fun!
Swim
Soak City, Kings Island’s water park, was actually a first for Riley and me! I can’t believe with all the times that I’ve been to Kings Island that I haven’t visited Soak City – I’m so glad Riley and I got to experience it at the same time though. Soak City has more than 50 water activities for you to do – including a 650,000-gallon wave pool, rushing rivers, water slides, and more. This year they added Tropical Plunge! Stay tuned for a post sharing more on this great water slide.
Eat
When you play and swim, of course you are going to get hungry. Kings Island has several dining options available.
- Auntie Anne’s
- Chick-fil-A
- Cinnabon
- Coconut Cove Cafe
- Coney Potato Works
- Skyline Chili
- Festhaus
- Graeter’s Ice Cream
- Hank’s Burrito Shack
- Ice Scream Zone
- LaRosa’s Pizza
- Juke Box Diner
- And more!
Since we were near Planet Snoopy, we decided to opt for Chick-fil-A. It was affordable and just as delicious as going to a Chick-fil-A restaurant. We loved being able to enjoy our meal underneath tables with umbrellas.
One thing that you can’t forget to try when you go to Kings Island is their famous blueberry ice cream! It’s a definite Kings Island staple that you don’t want to miss out on.
Eiffel Tower
When you first walk into Kings Island, the first thing you will see is the Eiffel Tower. You have to take a ride up in it to see the amazing view. It is a one-third scale replica of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. It is definitely something you don’t want to miss out on.
