Do your children love Old MacDonald and his farm? If so, you will want to craft a pair of these Old MacDonald finger play gloves. Easy to make and even easier to enjoy, these finger play gloves are perfect for reciting the famous nursery song. In fact, they almost seem to bring the story to life. Here is how you can get started crafting your own.
- Cotton Stretch Gloves
- Old MacDonald Peel and Stick Stickers
- Hot Glue, Glue Gun
You can find all of the supplies we used here at Michael’s Craft store. The peel and stick stickers are about $3 a bag, while gloves are just $1.
Directions:
- Begin by applying a dab of glue to each finger of the gloves. Be sure your gloves are flat as you apply the glue. Do not apply the glue while wearing them.
- Peel and stick the animal and barn stickers to each finger tip. Press and hold until dry.
- Once the stickers are in place, your finger play glove is ready to be used.
To use your gloves, simply slip them on and recite the nursery rhyme. As you do, move your fingers along with the words of the song. You can wear them as you sing with your child, or the child can try wearing the gloves themselves.
Gather your supplies and give these Old MacDonald finger play gloves a try for yourself! They are such a fun way to interact with your child and bring their favorite song to life.
