Different Options in Condos for Rent in Bangkok

For many people transferred to Bangkok for work, finding a suitable place to live in such a vast and unfamiliar city can be confusing and daunting. But if you realize that there are three main options for renting condos in Bangkok, you’ll begin to be able to make sense of the rental housing market.

You may be amazed at the sheer number and variety of condos for rent in Bangkok. The city has been in the midst of a development boom over the past ten years or so, and this has resulted in excellent values for renters and buyers. When you start actually looking at different units in various areas of the city, you’ll quickly develop a feel for what’s most important for your needs and lifestyle and begin to narrow down your choices.

Long-Term or Short-Term?

The first decision you’ll have to make is whether you can sign a lease for at least a year. If your work situation is short-term, you’ll be best served by renting a serviced condo in Bangkok. These condos are designed for people who need a place to stay for several months but maybe leaving in less than a year.

Serviced condos in Bangkok are either Grade A, or Grade B serviced condos. Grade A condos offer a better quality environment overall than Grade B condos. Grade B condos may be a bit farther from public transportation and have slightly less luxurious amenities, but they are perfectly adequate housing for many people.

Serviced condos come completely furnished and offer everything you need to live, from towels to tableware and pots and pans. They also come with a weekly maid service included in the rental fee. They rent on a month-by-month basis, meaning you won’t have to risk putting down a substantial deposit to satisfy the terms of a lease.

The only drawback to serviced condos is they can be more expensive than a leased unit. If you’re able to stay on for the long-term, signing a lease is generally your less expensive option. But in leased condos for rent in Bangkok, you still have choices to make.

A City of Neighbourhoods

New arrivals to the city will soon realize that, like most major cities, some areas are more desirable than others. Bangkok is somewhat unique in that there are so many desirable neighborhoods. Some are close to great shopping and nightlife, some are quiet and have easy access to city parks, and some of them are desirable for their proximity to quality schools and a large number of multi-bedroom units in the complexes. If you are looking to settle in Hawaii then check Kona condos for sale, they are luxurious and amazing!

The easiest way to handle hunting condos for rent in Bangkok is to contact a reputable local real estate agent. They’ll be able to explain the pros and cons of the different neighborhoods in the city. They’ll also offer a listing of the various condo complexes in the respective areas and what each of them can offer.

You’ll be able to choose the best condo for your needs and lifestyle in the shortest amount of time, whether you’re in town for the long-term or short-term.
