I’m very saddened to hear about the passing of Neil Armstrong who was a true American hero. He was the first man to step foot on the moon as a member of Apollo 11 in 1969. He passed away today at the age of 82 after complications from cardiovascular surgery.
His family released a sweet statement that brought a tear to my eye:
“For those who may ask what they can do to honor Neil, we have a simple request. Honor his example of service, accomplishment and modesty, and the next time you walk outside on a clear night and see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink.”
