I have been a big fan of Dancing With the Stars since the beginning. My mom and I used to watch it all the time together. Even afte rshe passed, I continued watching. SO when I found out that I was going to get to go to the semi-finals on my trip to Los Angeles last week, I can’t even begin to explain how excited I was. About 45 minutes before the live show starts, they invite anyone who wants to come down on the dance floor and shake their groove thang! I definitely was not expecting that. I love to dance, so I definitely didn’t miss out on the opportunity!
After dancing, we all went back to our seats and the warm up guy explained how things would be and got us clapping a bunch to get ready for all of the clapping we would be during the show. Once it was 7pm EST/4pm PST, it was time for the live show!
Did I mention how much clapping there was? SO MUCH! Believe me, if you ever get the chance to attend a live taping (I highly recommend it!) you will leave exhausted. You’ll be standing a lot and clapping even more. But it is SO much fun. Seriously, I think it’s one of the most fun things I’ve ever done on a trip for my blog.
After the amazing show we got the opportunity to go down on the dance floor and take photos.
The judges and Tom Bergeron were even nice enough to take a photo with us!
After the show we went to dinner and watched the west coast viewing of Dancing wtih the Stars and guess who was also there? Alek Skarlatos! He was super sweet to take a photo with us even though he was having dinner with his family.
Do not forget to tune in to Dancing with the Stars tonight and tomorrow, November 23rd and 24th. It is the finale, so you do not want to miss out! Tonight, Monday November 23rd, the finalists (Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold, Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough, Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson, and Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess) will be competing in two rounds of dance. During the first round, one judge will help each couple choose the creative elemets of the dance, which is a re-do to a new song. In the second round, the couples will be doing freestyle dances with special effects, additional dancers and unexpected surprises. Since it’s the finals, you know there will be special performances! Tonight’s includes Meghan Trainor, Ariana Grande, and Who is Fancy. At the end of the show, unfortunately the couple with the lowest combined viewer and judge votes from the previous two weeks will be eliminated.
Tomorrow, Tuesday November 4th is the grand finale! Airing from 9-11pm EST, the three finalists will be performing at the Grove shopping center and in the Dancing with the Stars ball room. There will be a reunion of all 13 of this season’s couples, as well as performances from Alexander Jean, Andy Grammaer, Chaka Khan, Elle King and Nick Carter. There will be lots more surprises along the way, and of course the winner of the coveted Mirrorball trophy will be announced.
You do not want to miss tonight and tomorrow’s Dancing with the Stars! Tune in tonight from 8-10pm EST, and tomorrow from 9-11pm EST.

I was sent on an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles, California courtesy of Disney to experience The Good Dinosaur as well as other fun adventures I can’t wait to share with you all. All opinions, as always, are 100% my own.
I’m a 20-something stay-at-home mother and wife. I have an amazing husband, a beautiful daughter, two loving dogs, and a lazy cat. I wouldn’t change my life for anything! I love to read, listen to music, cook and blog!
