I was provided a free trial Jenny Craig program and meals. However, the opinions expressed are entirely my own.
This post is going to be a little difficult for me to write. But it’s part of my journey, so it needs to be written. I’m obese. I was at a healthy weight before getting pregnant with Riley, but since then I have gained weight. With the stresses of being a new mom, along with other every day stresses, I turned to food. I love food. I love trying new foods and eating my comfort foods. Of course my favorite foods are the ones with the most calories. I’ve struggled with trying to eat healthy things. I love vegetables – I always have, and I’m proud to say that my daughter does as well. But it’s hard for me to always eat a salad all the time. I just can’t do it. I’m excited for this new Jenny Craig journey that I am now on, and to share my journey with all of you! Here is my before photo. I honestly hate having a full body shot taken, if you can’t tell by the look on my face. 😉 I’m at 201 pounds right now. It’s the heaviest I have ever been. My goal weight is 140. I want to feel and look healthy. I don’t feel healthy at all – Im always tired, I get out of breath easily, and more. I want to have a positive body image of myself because I would hate to hear Riley say the things about herself that I have said about myself. That’s my “Jenny Craig Moment.” That’s what has made me decide to change. And I’m so thankful that Jenny Craig and my consultant, Amber, will be there with me over the next 8 weeks!Last Tuesday I had my first consultant visit at my local Jenny Craig. I’m not going to lie – stepping in that door was hard. But I know it will be worth it. I love that there was no body shaming involved in the visit. It was all positivity. Amber was wonderful asking questions and listening to what I want to change and listening to the difficulties I have. The visit was simple, too – asked about my health, my goals, took a before photo, got weighed and measured, talked about the program, and got the food. Easy peasy! As you can see, my freezer got stocked full of Jenny Craig food when I got home! I will admint, this week has been a rough one. Unexpected things have happened to where I haven’t been home to eat the food that I had planned. So I’ve done the best that I can. Also, I think the fact that I’ve had a bad experience with another company and hating the taste of their food kind of made me nervous to really dive in to this. But the past 3 days I have stuck to the plan completely and I am honestly shocked at how much I love the food! I honestly haven’t had a bad meal yet. It helps that Jenny Craig has launched more than a dozen foods for fall! The new foods include: Loaded Baked Potato (one of my favorites so far!), Italian Style Pasta Bake (have had it and love it!), Classic Waffles, Chocolate Peppermint Cake (seasonal), Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich, Pumpkin Loaf (seasonal), Pumpkin Spice Cakes (seasonal), Homestyle Beef Pot Roast (SO good!), Classic Lasagna with Meat Sauce, Turkey & Wild Rice, Apple Crisp, Chocolate Lava Cake, and the Strawberry Yogurt Anytime Bar.To go along with these new delicious foods, you can now Join Today & get $50 off* Jenny Craig’s Best Program + $50 in food savvings**! I have never tried Jenny Craig, but it looks like they have some great foods.
