“The RX Factor” by J. Thomas Shaw

Sharing is caring!

When I first received The RX Factor by J. Thomas Shaw, I wasn’t completely sure if I would enjoy it. Boy, was I wrong! Shaw’s writing had me hooked by chapter two! The writing in this book is wonderful – very detailed and vivid! And the story could almost be a true one! It’s that believable!

The RX Factor takes you on a wild ride from the Bahamas, Chicago, North Carolina, Puerto Vallarta, and you end up in Washington DC. You learn about Ryan Matthews, who, 5 years earlier, lost his wife and children in a tragic plane accident after his wife had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Ryan was a cancer researcher and he thought he had come up with a cure for his wife’s cancer, but it ended up only accelerating her cancer, unfortunately. Ryan stays in the Bahamas while he’s in a deep depression because of the loss of his family, and meets Jordan Carver, who you end up finding out is a FDA researcher as well, and is planning on opening up a clinic in Mexico that will give patients affordable treatment of experimental drugs that they cannot receive in the United States since they are not FDA approved.

I definitely do not want to give the rest of the book away because there’s so many twists and turns, but it is one of the best suspense novels I have read in awhile! It definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat and you will not want to put the book down! Every night I read it, I ended up staying up until 2am because I just couldn’t put it down! If you enjoy a good suspense novel, I definitely recommend The RX Factor! I would love to see this book possibly made into a movie – there’s so much action in it!
