Things to Consider Before Buying an iPhone 4S

Sharing is caring!

The smart phone is becoming a necessity nowadays. And when it comes to such gadgets most of us, especially the children, like to have the flashiest ones. And when it comes to smart phone hype, iPhone 4S is the first choice among many smart phone enthusiasts, and with little wonder as the iPhone features the best hardware and software available in the market. However, the iPhone 4S costs a lot. Thus, before getting one, consider some options on how to save money from it. Here’s how:

1. Consider purpose
First of all, you should ask for what purpose you are buying the phone. Are you buying it for simple connectivity purposes such as calling and texting? Or are you buying it for more sophisticated purposes that are unique to the iPhone 4S? If it is the latter, then buying the phone may not be a bad idea. But if it is the former, then you should consider buying a basic phone from a prepaid network. It’s cheaper and tougher.

2. Consider iPhone 4
If you are after Siri, then the 4S may be for you. But other than that, you may opt to settle for the cheaper iPhone 4 as their specifications are almost the same. The only real edge that 4S has is Siri and if you are not a native English speaker, she may have difficulty understanding you rendering the advantage useless.

3. Consider alternatives
If you are only after high end smart phones in general, then there are cheaper alternatives that are just as good as the iPhone 4S. Samsung Galaxy Note is a great example together with HTC Sensation XL. I would recommend getting either of these two if you are not particular about the Operating System.

4. Compare Prices and look for promos
Should you have done the previous three steps and are decided to get an iPhone 4S, the most logical thing to do is open your web browser, and compare prices across Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and Virgin (newest network that will offer iPhone 4S). Consider exactly what plans suit you best and look for deals or promos like Virgin Mobile promo code that will surely give you something to save your money.

  1. Excellent advice! I did my research as you suggested and ended up getting an iphone 4S. I was due for an upgrade anyway and got my phone for $150 at Radio Shack. It was less than the droid that I was considering. Great post Coutney!
