10 Things You Should Plan At Least 3 Months Before Your Wedding

Sharing is caring!

As your wedding day approaches, you’ll be inundated with a lot of small little details that you will have to make decisions on. Still, there are some things you need to give priority to so that you’re not overwhelmed during those last few chaotic days. While some things can be put off until later, several things really must be done at least a few months before so that your day will go as smoothly as possible.

1. Lock It In

If you haven’t done so already, lock down many of the details to fine-tune your wedding plans. It’s time for the groom to go in and pick a wedding suit for him and his groomsmen. But don’t just stop at the suit he will need the full ensemble, including shoes, shirt, tie, cufflinks, and anything else that needs to go with it.

2. Make Appointments

Brides need to reserve a professional hairstylist and makeup artist. This should be done for her and all of her bridesmaids as well. Wedding dresses are usually ordered months in advance, but now is the time to make sure you have confirmed the date of delivery.

3. Order the Cake

Bakers also need more time to prepare and decorate your cake to your liking. They can’t just pop it in the oven the morning of the wedding and hope everything comes out okay. Know the design, size, and the kind of cake you want and finalize any details.

4. Select Readings For The Ceremony

Whether it’s writing your vows or you want specific poems or passages read during the ceremony, these should be decided upon by this date. A wedding is very stressful for everyone involved. People need time to practice so that they won’t forget what to say.

5. Start Beautifying Yourself

Glamour takes time. Now is the time to start your beauty regimen. Schedule regular manicures and pedicures. A lot of attention will be on your hands, so you want them to look their best. You can also DIY by buying nail polish wraps for sale. No one wants to see a bride with dishwasher hands, so start working on softening that skin now.

6. Start Skin Treatments

The same is true for your skin. If you don’t already have a skin care regimen, get started today. Thoroughly wash and rinse your face at the end of every day so you won’t have to worry about unsightly pimples and other forms of acne popping up. Also, make it a habit to apply moisturizer to your skin daily and use sunscreen even if you don’t think you need it.

7. Make Your Honeymoon Plans

To get the best deals, travel plans need to be made months in advance. If you haven’t done so by now, it’s time to make some decisions, unless you don’t mind paying a premium for the honeymoon suite.

8. Makeup Trials

You want your makeup to be perfect, so now is the time to choose your makeup artist. Visit several top beauty salons so that you can test the different looks. Knowing the look you want is just as important as choosing the right makeup artist.

9. Get Your Teeth Whitened

No other time in your life will you smile as much as you will on your wedding day. It’s the perfect time to get teeth whitening treatments. Professional teeth whitening takes more than one visit, so schedule these now; otherwise, your smile might look a little dull.

10. Start Hydrating

To look and feel your best, you need to be well hydrated. Drink at least two liters of water every day to clear out the toxins so you can get that beautiful, glowing skin.

There is a comprehensive list of tiny little details that most people won’t even notice, but without them, your wedding will suffer. Starting early with these things can make a huge difference in how easy everything will fall into place.
