Tips for deep cleaning your house

Sharing is caring!

Cleaning your entire house from top to bottom can be a very overwhelming job. In order to achieve the desired results in a reasonable amount of time, you need a plan. These tips will help you better organise your cleaning chores.

  1. Any good deep clean should start with decluttering

First, start by sorting your things and get rid of what you don’t need anymore. Some of the good things can go to charity, the broken or old ones will end in the bin. Check the drawers, presses and wardrobes to dispose of all unnecessary belongings. Put everything in black bags and take them out of the house to continue with the cleaning.

  • Tackle one room at a time

If you start cleaning your whole house at once, it may get very overwhelming, and if you can’t finish all in one day, it will look messier than before. You need to tackle one room at a time, start with the kitchen and bathrooms, which are the hardest to clean. It’s better to start with the most difficult tasks and leave the easy ones to the end when you get tired.

  • Remove bed sheets and vacuum mattresses

Vacuum both sides of the mattress with a vacuum cleaner with an advanced filtration to prevent the allergen being placed back into the room by exhaust air. Once per year you can also get a professional mattress cleaning service to remove all dust mites and allergens. Once they are clean, you can put fresh bed linen on. Whether you put an old or a new one, you should always wash them at minimum 60
