The manual is your first guide.

Read the manual carefully, and mark down the tools you will need. For example, in the case of a wireless baby monitor, you will need a reliable internet connection. Make sure that nothing is missing, and you are good to go with the prescribed installation method.

Find the right spot

In the case of baby monitors, it would be the closer, the better. Your sole purpose is to monitor your baby. If in case you feel that the entire room needs to be monitored, then you should get a camera with higher resolution. Otherwise, installing a baby monitor on the wall would not be much satisfying. The minimum distance from the baby crib must be 5 to 8 feet. Less than that would not give you a clearer and wider image of what is happening around your baby.

Make a base

You cannot only place the baby monitor beside the crib or on a shelf. It would be better, making a mounting base will provide a securer position for the baby monitor. Simply cut out hard cardboard or a wooden board as per the size and shape of your baby monitor and place it under the monitor.

You may also add some holders to the base for securing the baby monitor at the rods of the baby crib. Lastly, make sure that the angle of vision and the angle of the monitor’s camera are synchronized to give you a proper image.

Connecting with your phone

After installing the camera, it is time to customize the monitor settings according to your choice. You may set it into Pan mode and check the range of the internet connection for reliable and fast footage delivery.
